@Flying_Pig The model I got replacement bricks for was over 3 years old and Lego didn't ask for proof of purchase.

That said, you have to give a reason why you need the replacement bricks. Mine had cracks in them (I've never dropped or otherwise damaged the model) but simply losing the bricks may not be a good enough reason to warrant replacements. May be worth a try regardless though.

Lego are pretty good at replacing parts, even from older kits, but I'm guessing they will figure out what's going on when you ask for a 3rd of a kit ;)

Half heard something on the radio this morning about people making a tidy packet splitting boxes and selling individual parts.

That 60 year celebration gift from the LEGO shop looks amazing. Really cool mini builds of the old space ship, the original pirate ship, the yellow castle and... WTF is that third one?

    Monorail station? Da fuq...

I think it's the 6399 airport shuttle on closer inspection. Can't help but feel they flubbed that one. Should have gone for the old TECHNIC car.

It's the only one I can't remember. Could it be after my time?
Nope, leafing through the old catalogue there are plenty of kits I remember. My younger brother had some of them.

God, looking in old LEGO catalogues really bring out a warm fuzzy feeling in my chest.

Due to a relationship break-up and having to find a new place to live, it's likely I'm going to be selling a huge amount of my LEGO this year.

I'll be keeping the Falcon, obvs.

Once I've figured out what I'm doing I'll post up anything that's going in here but as it's all UCS/large sets I'm not sure it'll be worth anyone's time factoring in shipping from Stockholm.

Doesn't feel like the sort of material we should be making jokes out of.

Sad to hear about your situation Derblington

As for selling your USC LEGO and shipping I'd say there are enough connoisseurs in Stockholm so that you'd probably be able to sell it all on Blocket.

Yeah, Lukus. You're fucked now! :)

Tonka, I'm not worried about being able to pass it on - I know enough people that'd be interested at work. It was more that people here may be interested in the specific sets. But we'll handle it when the time comes.

Those free Lego 60 year sets are going for £35 on ebay. Might offset a new purchase nicely!

I wanted the Lego Pirate Ship so bad when I was a kid. I had the Governors Fort but never got the Pirate Ship. I used to look at the photos of it in the catalogue for hours :(

Bugatti Chiron is this years Technic supercar, following the Porsche from a couple of years ago. I reckon I'll probably purchase that one, depending on the look of the final model. I'll be keeping the porsche so they'll be nice together, and my purchasing will be much more limited than it has been so it will be nice to get big, limited sets.

That 60th anniversary set is already sold out in the US, kind of need to buy it now if i want it at all.

Not much i really want for £100 at the moment though. The latest Star Wars sets are all rubbish, i quite fancy the ship in a bottle but £70 is stupid for that set, and i'd buy a technic set but i have no where to display it.

That's right, the only material that we should be making stuff out of is lego!

Really sorry to hear what you're going through Derbs, especially if you have to sell loads of your Lego too, hope you're holding up ok?

I've ordered the ucd Falcon from JL today and it's waiting for collection from tomorrow afternoon. The problem is I've got massive buyers remorse and I'm not sure I can justify the cost. Anyone got one who thinks it's worth it?

    @Plant

Think the question really is what else would you do with that £650.

Iím not short of money and buying it would not mean I couldnít eat or take my family on holiday or anything but equally I would quite like a new iPad and £650 would pay for that and Iíd get more use out of it.

But then if it was all about usefulness nobody would ever buy a Rolex and people do :-)

I really wanted it. Now it's readily available I just can't do it. The cost isn't a massive deal breaker, I've just got nowhere to put the fucking thing. And it's ALWAYS going to be there. Fuck breaking it back up to box away.

    I couldn't justify it myself, that's a a fair overpayment on my mortgage :)
