I don't dare ask how much money you've spent on Lego :p

If he bought bb8 and the fishing store, that's a cool £200 right there! :)

Well today was the equivalent of £260, as Sweden is more expensive.
I was actually thinking about working out the total of all the notable sets I've bought. I've only been buying since 2013 but I've spent a fair amount.

    Not sure about BB8.

Why does it have the UCS stand thing?

And its basically just a big boring white and orange ball.

    So, since 2013:

    UCS Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter £95
    UCS Red-Five X-wing £170
    UCS B-wing £170
    UCS R2-D2 £150
    UCS TIE Fighter £180
    UCS Slave-1 £180
    UCS Sand Crawler £250
    UCS BB-8 £85
    UCS Snow Speeder £170
    UCS Batman Tumbler £160
    UCS SHIELD Helicarrier £280
    LEGO Movie Sea Cow £170
    VW Camper £85
    Mini Cooper (x2) £160
    VW Beetle £75
    IDEAS Ghostbusters Ecto-1 £45
    IDEAS Wall-E £40
    IDEAS Big Bang Theory £50
    IDEAS Fishing Store £140
    IDEAS Exo-suit £30
    Ghostbusters Firehouse £285
    Technic Porche 911 £260
    Star Wars Microfighters x10 £90
Star Wars Sith Fury-class Interceptor £80
    Star Wars Jedi Interceptor £20

    TOTAL £3420

I've also bought and sold the LEGO Movie Benny's Spaceship and Emmet's Construct-o-mech, Star Wars Millennium Falcon (2011), and bought my gf IDEAS Research Institute and Birds, so its a little bit more than that in truth (and a lot more once you factor in the Swedish pricing).

Its not that bad, tbh. I imagine boo spent 2/3s of my total spend on one model :)

And when you put it like that the UCS Falcon is just a brick in the lego ocean ;)

So I think (only think mind you!) if you bought every UCS Lego set, and later sold them mint, you'd outperform every investment bank in London.

Which is mental... But also a great explanation if your significant other kicks off about the falcon.

Just in case you was thinking about getting it, and hesitant there might be some fallout

You're basically building a sphere out of cubes. It looks fucking stupid. Excuse my French

Now this is a Falcon I'd pay £650 for.

@up_the_ante yeah see that blows me away. For £700 it would need to be amazing. And the UCS Falcon just isn't for me.

It's like they've gone for MOAR BRIX rather than finesse and detail.

Why does it have the UCS stand thing? Because it's a UCS model, and they are primarily built to be displayed.

    Yes, that's BB-8....

But it's not a UCS model?

It's just not box branded as such but it's essentially to scale with UCS R2.

Like Ewok Village, there's no UCS branding but it has the 75xxx model number.

Just finished BB-8. Its actually a decent little build. A bit repetitive as the sides of the body are all mostly the same but the internal mechanisms are quite interesting to put together. Nothing revolutionary but decent, and the model is one that looks much nicer in the brick than it does in pictures.

The gf wants to take it to work to display in her office.

Yeah they have one in Leicester Square as well all glued together. Apparently one of the people in the queue on the day it goes on sale will get the display one for free.

They're doing the giveaway here too, though they didn't have one on display. You win a new one, not the display model.

Decided to give the Lego Room a freshen up for the new Falcon coming! The Mrs isnt too happy as the house has turned into a bit a Lego storage facility.

The Dark Blue wasnt working so gonna put the room back to white in preparation for the big felly! Thats the undercoat finished for tonight.
