Registered 9 years agoAwesome! They're both fantastic. I was wondering how they'd follow the excellent forest police sets. -

Registered 9 years agoHmmm... this new Legends of Chima theme that is replacing Ninjago. I think they are trying to break into the Chinese market. Tat weird folf guy with read head gear looks like a knock off monkey king. The mountains are rather Chinese looking.
Why not do a straight up Journey to the West theme? If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Registered 7 years agoHave you seen the sets and figures? Very much aimed at kids, more so than Ninjago (not a complaint, Lego's a kids toy). The minifigs look nice though, and lots of elements in the new olive green colour.
btw: If anyone in the UK is looking for xmas pressies for their kids, Argos are having a good Lego sale. Highlights include Ninjago Epic Dragon Battle (rrp £90), Fire Station (rrp £60) and Forest Police Station (rrp £60) all at 50% off - with a £5 for £50 and £10 for £100 spend vouchers on top. -

Registered 9 years agoBloody hell. Forest Police Station for 30pounds then?
As for Chima, I see now that there's some Spinjago inspired racing game that goes with it. Hmmm...If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Registered 9 years agoI got the Grizzly in the "Robbers hideout" set. Coolest police set ever if you ask me. Still MISB but in a few years my firstborn will be old enough to take the step from Duplo to LEGO proper.
He'll probably end up hating LEGO just to spite me.

Registered 9 years agoIf it's the spear and shield thing I guess it's just the battle gear holder (with gear) of the gungan army. Here's a link for the brave. WARNING: Link leads to Episode I related information. If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Was just browsing the intarweb for lego, and while it appears that there are a bazillion sets on various 'themes', (Star Wars lego, Ninja lego, technic lego etc etc), I can't actually find any 'basic stuff.
Do they actually sell big sets of bricks / straight bits / wheels etc, or all they all specific kits (which you can obviously use to make other things)? -
