Never usually buy the Sun, but picked it up Sat and Sun for the free (well 50p) LotR ickle sets. Am now thinking I should have kept going back to different WHSmiths with the voucher to build an Orc army. He looks lonely by himself. Oh well.

Finally: Rancor pit plus some weird shit with the Star Wars logo on.
The A-Wing and Rancor pit are the only two that interest me. The prequel stuff can sod off.

Would love the new B-Wing. Looks very nice.

Help me! Has anyone got a better price for one of these?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/BOX4BLOX-Storage-Available-Exclusively-Amazon-co-uk/dp/B004UJFUP2/ref=pd_cp_kh_3

It's a brilliant invention, but 30 is a price I'm hoping can be beaten! Want to get it for my kids. They love lego, hate finding bits... Like me!

Amazon have finally brought the price down of the Mindstorms NXT 2, so I picked one up for my boy and me - kinda as a joint Xmas present.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001V7RF9U/ref=nosim/?tag=hotukdeals-21

Now 176. Still not exactly cheap but considering it normally hovers around 230, it's a good deal.

And Amazon are doing up to 25% off on pre-orders for the Hobbit sets (and most of the current LotR sets).

How do you guys clean your sets? I've tried toothbrushes but it takes ages and can scratch pieces.

I've though of compressed air and feather dusters. I'm also thinking of maybe getting these Dremel attachments and see how they work.

Just to get her indoctrinated, I've just bought a LEGO MP3 player for my daughter.

I did not buy the pink one btw.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

@Khanivor on the kids' sets I use a lens brush. Works like a charm. One of those lipstick type ones.

Something like a swiffer duster is more commonly used for larger sets.

LEGO World in Copenhagen is on again next year for those in the vicinity. Kid A is still a tad bit young. Roll on 2014!

Edit: Seing how Libero is one of the main sponsors I might reconsider...

Got the SW Skiff set on sale from Amazon the other day. It's small but really cool; the Sarlac pit is especially neat.

The newer Tie Fighter model is also pretty damn fine.

Does anyone have any good Lego blogs/sites to recommend?

Nice selection of figs in that set as well.

For blogs/forums, there's a bunch. Seeing as you like the Star Wars theme, your best bet would be from bricks to bothans

I'd personally highly recommend Eurobricks Very creative and inspiring builders there, covering every theme you can think of. Also brothersbrick, brickshow, thebrickblogger and brickfanatics are good for news. Visit the brickset forum if you're only interested in sales, deals and reselling (scalping).

Oh shitting piss. That bricks to bothans site has informed my the Imperial Shuttle has been reduced in price by $50. I'm very close to getting into a lot of trouble.

Awesome, we've got the same one for our daughter. She would kill us if it were pink. Not sure I can take any more chipmunk remakes though! :)

    I haven't decided what I want to buy myself this year. I'm leaning towards the monster fighters Dracula castle atm;

    http://www.ibrickcity.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Lego-monster-fighters-9468-vampyre-castle-ibrickcity-19.jpg

    We've also gotten her the space centre, as she's been on about it for ages;

    http://www.toytalk.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/LEGO-City-Space-Centre.jpg

But I know she's got her eye on my castle since I started thinking about it!! :)

@Khanivor I did recommend a few weeks back to grab it while you can if you really want it ;-) It's going this year (they're not producing any more, so what's in the wild is all the stock left). You've had loads of sales on it in the US as well, in places like target, walmart and toysrus :/

Aye, and it's the set I want more than anything else. But money is tight and, as was pointed out to me, it still costs more than the baby's crib we need...

    Still...

@ZuluHero It's a dinky piece of kit. Need to read the manual but it's been doing her bedtime music nicely. Your girl sounds ace, well done :D

Is the Imperial Shuttle large enough to hold a baby? Could it be modified?

@ZuluHero That monster fighter castle is ace. I really like that theme a lot. As I've said before something weird happened and I lost interest in the licensed kits.

I'm looking forward to some better pictures of the Museum Heist next year. That's the kind of thing I'm into. Also regretting not getting som Alien Conquest sets as that theme was awesome.

    Oh well...

Everything will be so much better once Kid A is old enough to be manipulated into nagging the missus into buying cool LEGO kits...
