Realise it's not Technic but the Sopwith Camel has a couple of suspension pieces as well.

Anyone know which technic sets have suspension? I want to build something, but need suspension pieces.
I think, of the stuff that is currently available, the following have some sort of suspension:

    9392 Quad Bike

    8110 Unimog

    9398 4x4 Crawler

    42005 Monster Truck

    42000 Grand Prix Racer
The Moto Cross bike has 3 Suspension part too -

    Steam/Origin - Ron_Justice
    PSN - hyper_808

Thank you all for your comments - I think I need 8 suspension pieces (4 might work, but I don't think they'll be robust enough), so it's annoying that the Quad Bike and Moto Cross bike have 3 each...

I could buy the parts individually, but where's the fun in that, especially as I want that Hot Rod for the piston engine :)

Think I might get the Monster Truck and probably Quad Bike.... Maybe....

    Lego Space, you ask?

Bizarre that you should mention Space. I bumped into a lady I only see once or twice a year last week, and she asked me what I was reading. Said it was 'Brick By Brick', a book about Lego's troubles about 10 years ago.

Got talking and she said she was about to take a carrier bag of Lego to the charity shop, so I said 'I'll have it', and gave her 10 as a charity shop donation.

Just picked the bag up - I was assuming it belong to one of her kids, and would be recent stuff. Turns out to have been her brother's stuff - he's 42. There appears to be a pile of the original 'Space' stuff from 1979 / 1980, including manuals. Not sure if all the parts are here, but it certainly looks likely.

    There are manuals for:

    885 Space Scooter

    918 One Man Spaceship

    891 Two Seater Space Scooter

    886 Space Buggy

    889 Radar Truck

    6821 Shovel Buggy

    6841 Mineral Detector

Plus 4 baseplates that seem to be moon craters and runways, 15 astronauts and half a dozen other minifies.

No idea if this stuff is collectible or just old.

    @boo you lucky, lucky bugger!

Edit: If you've got complete sets, they can be pretty collectable.

@boo is brick by brick any good? There's a bit of a controversy over what really saved TLG.

I'm about half way through at the moment, and I have to say I'm really enjoying it. Partly because it's an interesting story about what was happening at Lego at the time, and partly because we're going through some major crap at work at the minute - new management and everything's in upheaval, and there are a lot of parallels (albeit on a smaller scale).

The author bases a lot of the book around 'the 7 truths of innovation', and people who know more about management than me have said (in Amazon reviews) that the business side of the book should be taken with a pinch of salt. Thus far, it appears that Bionicle single-handedly saved the company.

I'd certainly recommend it if you're at all interested in how the company works though.

I had most of those sets, boo. Still do, in piece form. Still have lots of crater base plates too.

Damn, I wish I had space - and the time - to put it all back together.

Saw the new micro fighters and some of the new Star Wars/Chima/Ninjago Lego ranges in the Entertainer at lunch. Couldn't resist just getting one of the microfighters :)

Microfighters... I think there's about 6 available at the moment. Ignore the promotional ones.

@boo oddly enough I've dipped in and out of business blogs and reports about the TLG for some years now. All of a sudden it's all the rage to hail them in "creative" circles where as my understanding has been that it was mostly about some really clever manufacturing/logistic decisions.

Even had a email fight with a somewhat famous swedish journo / Seth Godin and a professor at Cornell over what really saved TLG (the two former thought it was the inclusion of instructions in the boxes due to completely misunderstanding the latters TEDx speech about thinking).

Needles to say I crushed those who needed crushing. The years of fanboying on here has taught me how to handle a text based fight

@morriss yeah they are new. We talked about them a bit a few pages back. The entertainer had loads of the others but only had 2 of the millenium falcons. Its my favourite one and seems to be the most popular. I love the little han solo minifig and the build was fun and entertaining for a microscale. Kept me busy in my lunchhour at least; much to the amusement of my collegues :)

Well Peter Jones in Sloane Sq doesn't. And a quick website search doesn't bring the Lego brands up at the stores in London.

    @FWB

Which part of the country are you in? I'll do a stock check for the Falcon tomorrow and let you know if any of the branches have any in stock.

It's showing as out of stock online, which doesn't bode well, unless we just got blitzed over Christmas.

That'd be kind of you. Am in London. Got vouchers, so no go on Amazon. I guess it'll be the new Slave 1 if I can't get the Falcon.

Took a few pics of some of that old Space stuff.

I'll try and build a few over the next few nights to see how many parts are missing.

That wee broken chin piece on the spaceman's helmet is a detail in the Movie that gives me great hope for said movie.

I caved. :) Won a bid on ebay for it for 55quid including shipping. No box, but apparently brand new, unopened, all mini figures. Fingers crossed.

    That's a damn fine deal.

I've still to build mine yet. Holding off because as long as I have one unbuilt set I find it much easier to not add to credit card debt and buy another.

Saying that, as soon as the new City trucks start getting discounted on Amazon...
