What you really need is the DeLorean so that you can recreate the train scene from BttF III.

    < href="http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/122553-lego-back-to-the-future-lone-ranger-constitution-train-chase-bttf-iii-gold">Like so

Kitbash eh? Of course there was a name for it.

    Ewoks are awesome.
    The Ewok village is amazing.
The price for that will challenge the Falcon UCS in a few years.

Sainsbury's are knocking sets out cheap (1/3 off) so I picked up a few for me and the kids.

41001 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=41001-1 (My daughter's chuffed as she does real magic with this one!)
    41000 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=41000-1

    60007 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=60007-1 <-- For my boy.

    42010 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=42010-1
    42011 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=42011-1

Had my eye on the last two for a while now, loving the idea of joining them up to make a larger vehicle (Dragster)

Built the 60021 cargo heliplane yesterday and as usual I was blown away by the experience.

I'm sounding like a broken record here but the ingenuity of the set and the clarity of the instructions are second to none. Kid A was happy as a prince in a pastry shop. He loves planes and he was running around the house swooshing it about.

He refused to have the engines with the proppelers on it though since "That's not how REAL planes look!"

The set has a lot of nice play features too. And the ATV that I thought would be a two piece build is made up of an astonishing number of parts for such a small thing. Even the chainsaw has more pieces than I thought possible.

Now I'm eying the 60022 Cargo Terminal but I'm worried my son will be a spoilt brat so I really have to stop myself.

It IS glorious tough... oh ho ho ho.

Think of the children. Don't give them too much.

Buy it for yourself and hide it somewhere.

    Hey, Technic fans!
Was having a look at the Brickset database earlier, and the 2014 first-half sets are listed. No images / prices as yet though.

    42020 Twin Rotor Helicopter
    42021 Snowmobile
    42022 Hot Rod
    42023 Construction Crew
    42024 Container Truck
    42026 Black Champion Racer
    42027 Desert Racer

I'm guessing the Heli will big the 'big' set (although it might be the Container Truck I suppose).
I'm a bit puzzled by the 'Construction Crew' set. That sounds like it contains minifigs, which isn't a Technic thing at all.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm hoping the "42027 Desert Racer" is a decently sized (500+ piece maybe?) set.

I did a quick test of Google+ AutoAwesome animation feature (upload a series of pictures and Eric Schmidt will make an animated gif out of them) with the ATV from the Heliplane

Looking at that JP sethad me thinking... A classic movie range!

Watched 'Where Eagles Dare' recently and when playing with the kids scratchbuilding stuff from our random Lego pieces I got messing with a cable car.

That film has some great set pieces - The Schloss, The cable car battle, Escape by bus, Extraction by plane.

I think Lego would baulk at minifig nazis though.

When I played Uncharted: Drakes Fortune I was reminded of that scene.
I'm certain it was the inspiration for that area.

Lego won't make sets based on real world conflicts, I'd imagine Indiana Jones got through on the narrowest of technicalities to be honest.

    Would love Jurassic Park!

That is sheer genius. Actually, Monty Python came up as a fun platform for a Lego videogame when we last watched Holy Grail.
