So it's the game all the Hawks fanatics have been wanting for a long time, so rejoice it's being made!

    Trailer

It's essentially parks and levels from the first 2 Pro Skaters, no word on whether the controls will be the THPS3 systems (which added the now committed to muscle memory "revert") or THPS2 Which added Manuals to chain tricks on flat land.

If I had to choose any levels to go in from the first 2 then these would have to be included:

    Warehouse
    Mall
    Downhill Jam
    School II
    Marseille
    Venice Beach
    Philladelphia

    I literally. cannot wait.

Mall was ok but i always found it a bit too much of a rush and not as nice for plotting lines through as Downhill Jam, which , while quicker always seemed to flow better.

Warehouse has got to be in it, School 2 is awesome as well but it's kind of limiting putting on THPS 1 and 2 levels in. They should take select level from 3 and 4 as well.

3 was pretty much the apex of the series.

Well let's hope there is future DLC adding THPS3 and 4 as I'd love a bit of Cruise Ship and KONA!

I enjoyed Mall as you could nearly trick the whole level in one go! but yeah maybe Bull Ring or Hangar then, they were good.

I agree 3 was awesome, I still play it regular on the 360, some awesome parks on that!

Uggh, this is probably why it's so hard for them to choose, I absolutely HATE cruise ship, it's so boring and OTT.

Warehouse was always my favourite along with the likes of school 2 and Venice Beach because they were mildly realistic. After 3 and to a larger extent 4 it just went way to full on unrelaistic for my liking.

    Thank God for SKATE.

I used to really enjoy Bullring. Even with that bloody bull charging around the outside.

All the levels are tattoo'd on my brain, but I spent more time on School II than actual school.

Yup School 2 was the shit.

I would spend hours just doing kickflip melons on the leap of fate.

However, SKATE is by far the best skateboarding game ever and it really does wipe the floor with THPS in every sense. I may have loved them at the time during school but SKATE is just pretty much perfect.

Granted they're totally different types of games.

This should be awesome. It doesn't have to have the reverts, but they would be welcome. Levels from 3 and 4 would be nice, but it could just be the warehouse with on-line multiplayer and I would be sold!

School 2 and Warehouse are the two most memorable levels in the series for me, but I can remember pretty much every level from the first three games. I don't know the names of most of them though!

Skate may be fat better than THPS, but it will never be as much fun! I used to love the first four Tony Hawk games, I just hope it wasn't all nostalgia...

I'm struggling to remember the names of the levels, but I'm pretty sure I will recognise them all once I start playing

I am so, so looking forward to this!

I love the Skate games (only played the first two) but Tony Hawk's was a lot more carefree and joyfully fun to play with a superb soundtrack to boot...

It was my 'childhood game' in some respects even though I had absolutely no interest in the skateboarding in real life so to speak!

    Happy days.

Oh yeah, I just remembered the Roswell level (in Mexico) at the end of the very first Tony Hawk's... I do hope that is one of the parks that shall be included in this HD remix!

It was a nice contrast to the life-like places in the rest of the game.

I'm presuming you never skated yourself then?

It's the best simulation of the real thing ever, the trick stick had never been more applicable to a sport.

the movement required to pull off the moves makes absolute perfect sense to how you do the tricks on a board

I just found it really inaccurate to pull specific tricks off, great idea, very interesting controls but it didn't gel. Maybe I'll give it another go.

It did have utterly amazing audio, I believe they used the Need for Speed engine system on the surface sounds, killer stuff!

3 kind of maintained the high achieved by 2, but 2 was still the best for me.

Now, the most important question of all: are they going to license the best of the soundtracks from the first two games or am I going to have to create my own playlist?

I'd be suprised if they did get the tracks but it is Activision and they may have some sweet music deal after all the guitar Hero business.

I demand Warehouse, and I demand Suicidal Tendencies on the soundtrack. Everything else is gravy as far as I'm concerned.

I wonder if they wil add TH3 maps as well at some point. I remember playing the demo to that over and over again and only had 1 music track ACE OF SPADES!

And yes i agree , 2 perfected it whle 3 basically just carried it on. After that point thourgh TH lost all its charisma.

Even if it's just the first game, please allow for Dead Kennedys - Police Truck on the soundtrack, belting track. Such a good game, achievements and being able to record good runs equals a must buy.
