Tried a change of tack last night and bought an RTS for a complete change of genre and style to see if that works.
I'm the same as you lads, completed on Wed last week, not played more than 1 hour game time in total since then.

    Might try something new tonight.

Witcher 2 did indeed hit the spot. I should have a look at multiplayer but I can't generally get on at peak hours as my girlfriend owns the telly at that point.

You are a factory of sadness.

    @DUFFMAN5 I will! But I'm scared...!

I couldn't play any Resi Evils, go into the tunnels in Fallout 3 and the monsters in Uncharted scared the shit out of me. I'm screwed.

Was going to have an enjoyable evening playing The Last Of Us. But no. I can hear Robbie shitting Williams live in concert from my house. Talk about an immersion breaker.

Every girl I ever kissed I was thinking of a pro footballer.

Christ what a game. I thought ME2 couldn't be topped but this blew that away.
    I'm hoping there's a sequel...

@PhoenixFlames I hear u man. I'm such a girl when it comes to scary games. Just done the bit at the bottom of the hotel. Fuck just.... fuck. I was absolutely terrified! Wtf were them things? They were like runners only smarter.

The build up to that section is superb. You just know something bad is gonna happen
It does throw a few cheap tricks at u likefalling lights and debris, but it still scared the fuck out of me.

    Nightmares tonight I think!!

Am now almost 9 hours in and have thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of hours.  No longer stressing too much about failing stealth as I'm getting better at the combat.  Bricks are great as are upgraded melee weapons.  Tend to only pull my guns out when cornered which does happen quite frequently.

Those fights, just awesome in every way, desperate fights for life.  Gritty stuff.

I've just jumped off the bridge with Ellie and am with Sam and his brother.  Was just wondering roughly how much is left? I know the game says 55% but sometimes that isn't very accurate.

By the way chaps, the perfect gaming antidote to this is Animal Crossing on the 3DS.  Polar opposite and brilliant in a different way.  Guaranteed to enjoy even after finishing TLOU.

Sadly I find AC just too dull.

Bought Retro City Rampage this evening so going to give that a try tomorrow. Hopefully different enough!

Count me in as someone who has lost all appetite for playing other games since finishing Last of Us. What a strange phenomenon. I can't remembering it happening with a book or film before.

Maybe this game will lead to a crash of the video game market, just like that E.T. game in the 80s, only this time because the game is too good instead of too shite.

    I'm the quiet one

Just about to embark on my second playthrough after completing it on hard. Has anyone actually collected all the artefacts etc? Apparently the trophies are quite glitchy so not sure whether to play on easy and get all the collectables or do a survivor playthrough and just soak up the atmosphere again.

Having passed game, I understood one that it doesn't correspond to the estimates, it is game of the average level, without a highlight, and with awful graphics, us well I deceive! in a prolog everything is delightful: the graphics, interesting scenes is beautiful, but then begins don't understand that, graphics after a prolog such feeling from other game, low polygonal models, awful textures, constant sags of FPS, and a gameplay in itself not the interesting.

The assessment of game is obviously overestimated, at most that she deserves 8 points and that with a big stretch.

This is just a wonderful game, so tense. Played it most of last night and didn't get much sleep. Not because I was playing it, but because I was so tense afterwards it took hours to come down from it.

I'm only in Pittsburgh and am fighting off the Hunters.

IIRC. You can use chapter select to mop them up.

@PhoenixFlames Seriously stick with it. I HATE games that have any sort of scares (the Flood in Halo made me stop playing) but this game is too good to not get through. If you're in a scary bit, find a safe spot and just clear the infected out. Although the first time I blindly sprinted into a bloater made me actually swear out loud!

    Keep going.

Has anybody gone into the extras in the main menu and downloaded the making of? Obviously I suggest you only watch this once you've completed the game. I watched it last night and it was a real good watch. Naughty Dog come across as such a dedicated and hard working developer.

It covers all sorts from the animation, sound effects, art design, acting, scripts etc.

Yup me to, this is true next gen stuff, everything else seems shit now, I just want more Last of Us. It almost annoys me that I've been putting up with such shit games.

I'm going to give it a couple of weeks break and then play through again.

I do wish it wasn't so tough to platinum as I'd love to 100% it, but, I completed it on normal, now I get normal plus, which I' would do to mop up trophies, then play through n survivor, THEN survivor plus....

I've only ever played through a handful of games twice, four times, even for this is more time than I've got.

Yeah man, I just finished it on hard, and if I could do a new game plus on Survivor with all trophies stacking that'd be sweet. As it is I would have to play it through again twice on Survivor. I wish Devi wouldn't make decisions like that. Free me!

It's interesting that until I finished the game I had only unlocked one solitary trophy. This game is full of hgh level golds and silvers. I like that...

Have been avoiding this thread like the plague (no pun) for fear of spoilers so far... Have played for about 18 hours now and just arrived in Salt Lake City, think last checkpoint was around that car tunnel I think, after killing the 2 or 3 bloaters. How many hours do I have left?

Would like to finish this off now (which is a bit sad as it's been a fantastic ride so far) but need to plan my gaming time due to lack of it, problem is whenever I start playing it I can't stop and the missus isn't too pleased about that;)
