  So NBC has signed-up Bryan Singer to direct the pilot of a ''new take'' on The Munsters, which they're trying to pitch as a darkly-humorous drama...

  I've not seen The Munsters in years. I used to love this as a kid. Remakes are hardly ever a good idea as they usually lose what made the show great in the first place.

  Yeah, The Munsters is still surprisingly watchable, even now. I'd prefer to see them simply re-run the originals.
