Woo my copy came in the post today. First time I've used gamestop and I'm impressed so far. Anyway think I'll try and get an hour or so of it played tonight in bed.

Registered 6 years agoHave only managed to play a hour and a bit so nothing much has happened so far. It's a pretty standard jrpg apart from the combat system. The 3d is a bit Matt though so been playing it in 2d -

Registered 3 years agoGetting a bit peeved with Gamestop now.
Ordered it on Tuesday. Order status is confirmed and the money has been taken but still not dispatched. Sent an email to them yesterday. As yet no news.
The fact that it is now unavailable is now making me nervous that either I got one of the last copies or that they have taken the money and not got any stock.
How long should it take to process? -

Registered 3 years ago@munki - I think the biggest annoyance for me is the floaty text boxes in 3D mode. Other than that I think it can look quite nice in 3D, but as it's a text-heavy game, even with VO on, I play it mainly in 2D as well.
@AceGrace - mine was dispatched the day after I ordered it. Let's hope they didn't get carried away and take more orders than they had copies. Is there a number you can call at all? Good luck, I hope you're able to sort it.
As for me, I did Choral Castle last night - really enjoyed that bit. Just arrived in Chesedonia, as of about 2.30 am last night - I am finding the game hard to put down! -

Registered 6 years agoWoo half day at work due to the weather god bless the government. Getting into it now and I'm on the Tartarus. I tend to switch the 3d on when playing in bed as I find the darkness helps but it could be I'm just weird
I do have a question though occasional during battle there is coloured items on the ground can you pick them up???? -

Registered 3 years ago@munki - I've noticed that too. I'm not 100%, but I was thinking it tended to be where you killed an enemy..? Perhaps it's an indicator that that particular enemy dropped an item that you receive on the battle summary screen. Grandia does this, so I kind of assumed that's what it was. I could be wildly, stupidly wrong though
And the game really picks up from the point you're at now, it gets hard to put down! -

Registered 6 years agoOk got about 3 hours clocked in total now and I'm liking it so far. The story its refreshingly light compared to the likes of Skyrim and Dark Souls and while Luke starts off as a bit of a tit I'm starting to like him cause of his hate for thing -

Apparently no copies in their warehouse (despite it being in stock on the site when I ordered it) but they are sourcing it from one of their shops.

Registered 7 years agoI still think it's very strange when publishers get so paranoid of over-stocking these issues occur. It wouldn't be so bad iif they release a second batch after seeing the first sell, but with Konami in particular it rarely happens. I don't have a 3DS yet though (region protection put me off, even after the price drop). Odd that we got the game before the US too (although I suppose the US has a worse track record than us re: handheld Tales games (ToE PSP).
US region still feels like the safest bet for an RPG fan to me, but I just know something will come out as a Europe exclusive to screw with me later If it hadn't been for the region-protection I'd have bought a 3DS right after the price drops but for now I'll continue the waiting game (I completed Abyss on PS2 years ago anyway and stick with my DS Tales games. -

Registered 3 years agoI find myself mostly playing this in bed. But then my right hand goes numb after a while :s I wonder if the CPP will make the 3DS more comfortable to hold when lying down.
I'm nine hours in, finally made it back to Luke's manor. Baticul is pretty cool, reminded me of Lindblum in FFIX, with the air cars -
