Sorry if there's another topic , if there is it burried down a fair few pages.

Got the 3DS version today and having played the ps2 version, just from playing the start of this version it looks like it holds up fairly well.

If anyone wants a really good rpg game for 3ds, in my view this is one to go for.
Hope other people that got the game enjoying it so far.
Will say one thing it's a very, very long game for the main story.

Picked this up today to make sure I was able to get it but I doubt I'll start it for a while since I've not finished Vesperia yet.

I'll be curious to see how the console holds up to long play as the Tales of ... games are a little more button mashy than most RPG's.

Got this in the post yesterday and was soo happy. I've been wanting to play it for years. I had to limit myself to an hour and a half of play because of all the huge essays I've got due in soon but I absolutely loved it. I did have to turn the 3D off though as although I liked the depth and floaty dialogue, it just seemed to make all the jagged texture edges pop out really badly. Makes me feel better about turning it off to save the battery, anyway. :)

If they didn't cancel your order then you should still get it. Check your order history. It might be out of stock because you bought the last copy. The special edition of Uncharted 3 totally disappeared from the Game website not long after I preordered it, but my order was fine and I got the game from them.

I'm going to have to get this when I'm back in the UK for xmas (it'd cost at least a tenner more than the UK RRP where I am now). I've been hankering after a decent JRPG for a while, and I really enjoyed the only other Tales games I've played (Vesperia and, er, whatever the Gamecube one was called). I take it this one hasn't aged too badly then? Most of the PS2 era JRPGs still stand up pretty well in my experience, they can convert as many of them to the 3DS as they like as far as I'm concerned.

It kept me busy through two Shinkansen rides, but I have dropped it after about 22 hours. After the big event about a third of the way through the plot just really started getting on my wick, so I've decided to leave it for a while.

I went through the whole of Choral Castle on the train this morning. I wish I had time to play on it more at the moment, but I'm loving every minute I get. I also swear I'm working harder because of the incentive. :)

Picked it up again. For serious, though, how many fucking times do they have to reveal a character's "real" name? It works a couple of times, but when almost every single character is hiding their actual surname it's just plain tiresome.

You know what? Fuck this game. Fuck it up its stupid, lying arse. 40 hours in spoilers:

It's bad enough having the "false end" when you fight Van at the Absorption Gate, after the game spends quite a long time assuring you that it's the end. Then it ONCE AGAIN decides that what has happened before didn't really happen, with the Six God Generals still being alive because of Arrietta's fucking familiars? Is this how you make a game 60 hours long, by changing your mind halfway through? If this game decides that someone's name is actually different and they're actually related to someone else, the game's going through the fucking window. Top suspect right now is Anise and Mohs. I'm not continuing if it's going to be another twenty hours of Luke moping around with his inferiority complex, too.

I'm dropping it until I calm down. Could be a while. Fucking hell.

It was in stock at gamestop.co.uk at least on Thursday. It was already gone on Game/Gamestation, Play, Amazon, Zavvi, HMV... Bloody crazy, considering it hadn't even been out a week. I had to sign up to gamestop just to order Tales, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. I ordered it on the Thurs, it was dispatched Friday, and it arrived yesterday morning (with standard, free shipping!). It's my first Tales game, and I'm really enjoying it so far.

Check gamestop, hopefully you'll get lucky.

No worries, glad I could help. I think most people probably forget all about Gamestop, so that's probably why they still seem to have a few copies!

I used GameStop quick delivery for mine too. Second time I've used them and the second time they've been good.

It's a great game and the 3d is a nice addition to it.

I'm only a couple of hours in so far, but I'm really enjoying it - it's managed to draw me away from Skyrim a few times already. It's genuinely funny in places, but it's also very anime-styled. That's a plus for me, but may not be for everyone.
