Arrgh logical trap, and not the one you are thinking of. I thought Hayden was a fine Anakin as a surly twat of a teenager, and Cage still thinks that's cool despite him just being shite.

Apart from any film that Nic Cage isn't in, apart from Con Air.

Nicolas Cage is great. Like many great actors, they get to act in many good films, and sadly many not so good films. While I haven't see all his films, of what I have seen, the list might look like:

    Good:
    Wild at Heart
    Leaving Las Vegas
    8MM
    Bringing Out the Dead

    Not so good:
    Lord of War
    Face/Off
    The Weather Man

    Ok'ish:
    Adaption.
    Matchstick Men
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans
    Rumble Fish

Films I refuse to watch as they sound crap:
    Ghost Rider
    Snake Eyes

That's about it. Looking on IMDb, there's a whole bunch of other films he has been in.

How dare you put Face/Off in the 'not good' pile.

Face off is one of the greatest examples of over acting in cinematic history. It's amazing! They don't make em like that anymore.

I thought adaption and matchstick men pretty awesome, so I'm looking forward to watching his better films I haven't seen - bringing out the dead, 8mm

Nic is all kinds of awesome and shit in equal measures. I watch his films with an equal measure of excitement and dread. No other actor I can think of does this to anywhere near his level.

In saying all that he's done way to many turkeys recently. I'm starting to lose the desire to play his cinematic Russian roulette.

@eightbitboy There's this one movie where he's a maths teacher or something and using numbers, he works out when planes are going to crash.

it's terrible and I think the ending was he saves everyone from aliens or the freak weather tornado/hurricane/apocalypse, I don't know. I don't care that I spoiled it. Just don't watch it.

Yup, sounds really shit. I guess for Cage it pays the bills.

The film is called Knowing and the ending is nothing like that. The film is ridiculous and hilarious. Although I enjoyed it I wouldn't try and argue that it is a good film, but I would advise Nic Cage fans to watch it for one of his most entertaining performances.

It is strangely similar to Interstellar in its themes, except unlike Knowing Interstellar seems to be under the illusion that it isn't moronically dumb.

Some films are good despite him, others are bad because of him.

    It's a proper crap shoot.
