***There is an AC:Revelations spoiler in the link below!***

CVG started speculating yesterday about ACIII.

I personally think the Assassins Creed series is excellent, one of my favourite this generation. I love the old world settings, the free running, the combat, the puzzles, etc. Pretty much every aspect of the series is intriguing to me, even the idea of the Animus and being able to experience ancestral memories.

I was a big fan of the first game, but obviously ACII and AC:Brotherhood were leaps and bounds ahead of it. Ive just started Revelations myself and its very enjoyable so far.

Ive got to give credit to Ubisoft for their efforts on the multiplayer too. Its very slick and offers a unique online experience, a lot of thought goes into it and hopefully it will get the numbers it deserves.

In terms of ACIII, im not sure what we can expect. Ive heard rumours about it being set in current times and you control Desmond but that would be very disappointing for me personally - like the link above points out it could be set in Ancient Egypt which would be fascinating.

Anyway, hopefully we'll get an official announcement off Ubisoft some time soon!

Of course they're working on it, they've said the franchise will get a yearly release.

I want them to go back to basics, focus on being an assassin instead of tower defense lol.

Or........ACIII could be set in China?

Playing as a Ninja could be..........amazing.

I'd rather they just got Desmond's story out of the way. Dress him up in a long white leather hoodie and he'll look the part.

The Desmond future stuff was so unnecessary. While I don't dislike it, the games are at their best in the past and why their writers couldn't work out how to set a series of games in the past, I don't know. It's like an excuse to overtly gamify it.

    What a terrible voiceover. :/

Looks like everyone can finally stop getting their knickers in a twist over the 'anti-British' thing as well.

Edit: Though with that funky grade I guess you can't really tell either way...

Hehe, looking at the trailer with the actual colours in it, looks like all those guys in blue who I thought were Americans were actually Red-Coats. Ah well...

It's like ACII and Red Dead Redemption had a baby. I've got high hopes for this!

Look at all the staff clapping, must be an amazing demo when there is clapping! :)

I bet their E3 stand is a lot of fun and laughter, I remember the frosty nature of their EG expo setup and how they got very upset about people taking photos around the 2 AC2 screens they had...upset about photos in an expo for consumers :)

Im surprised no-one is talking about the E3 coverage to be honest. I think the new environment is amazing, really unique and interesting.

Graphically, it looks amazing too, huge improvements over the last few games, especially facial animations.

There also looks like there has been a major update to the combat - the footage between 4:00 and 5:00 is superb!

Im looking forward to it anyway :-)

Definitely a series that needed a good overhaul, and Ubi have shown they can do it.

Interesting piece here where the lead writer says that time travel is no longer necessary.

Might as well send this Plutonium back.......
