I have this horrid feeling some important people - politicians, big business etc. - will escape justice, meanwhile the police will go for some minor celebs of yesteryear.

All I can think about is him commentating as he indecently assaults someone. That laugh....

    Allegedly. Of course.

:( he made me dress up in these over inflated costumes and threw custard pies at me.

    I think they were custard.

Channel 4 News just said one of the charges was an assault against a 8-9 year old child.

    :(

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Witnesses aren't meant to talk about a case whilst an investigation is in progress. ;)

Oddly well-timed: 82 year old former bbc broadcaster stuart hall has been arrested on historical allegations of rape.

    Breaking now.
He's not a former broadcaster for the record (although he might be former if the charges stick), I last him heard on Radio 5 on Saturday, think he was doing the Stoke - West Brom match.

National institution and all that but if I'm honest I find his commentating a little tedious.

Do the Queen and the PM use the "Sex Offenders Register" to compile the New Year’s honours list?

It is a bit worrying how so many have not just managed to get away with it but also enjoyed the whole "national institution" status. There's possibly some cautionary lesson to be learned there about falling in love with celebrities based on a carefully cultivated public image.

If you go to quote a deleted post you can still see what was written.
