So... according to the pope, if you are a catholic, there is a 1 in 50 chance that the priest of your local church is a nonce.

Knew there was a good reason I'm not religious. A colleague of mine's family has a Rolf Harris original artwork piece. Pissed to be them...

Probably still is, if you can find the right 2% of popes to sell it on to.

One of the main reasons I am not religious is that I thought the local vicar was a bit dodgy when I was a kid. Obviously I had no idea what I thought was strange about him, just that he was a little off and he made me feel awkward. Admittedly I have not seen any evidence or heard any accusations to suggest he was actually a kiddy fiddler.

New allegations of senior politicians, maybe even one that is currently in government, being involved in the ring from the 90's.

The "independent" enquiry judge's brother seems to be implicated too.

@NBZ I read this morning that a former campaigner for the tory party watched her brother get noshed off in a hot tub by a rent boy.

    EDIT: Allegedly

I suppose it shouldn't be very shocking if true, given it's by a class of people who were surprised people weren't alright with them outright stealing? Expenses scandal?

This is all very exciting for conspiracy theorists. It's renewed their interest in the Finders cult, the Franklin cover-up, Marc Dutroux and all that old bollocks about Satanic ritual abuse.

Dead happy that David Icke was right about something too. Still no inter-dimensional lizards though.

Kind of shooting fish in a barrel though, predicting Jimmy Savile was a nonce.

Well, yes, Icke takes the 'throw enough shit' approach to conspiracies.

    660 people arrested.

    Quite a haul!

Just really fucking obvious. I'm scared they'll use these stats to clamp down even further on all of us despite the fact they could have picked every single one of these people up at any time in the last 10 years.

Butler sloss is an awesome lawyer, her standing down is about the appearance of independence rather than independence actually being at risk. I can see why she's done it but her integrity shouldn't be called in to question at all.

There wa a very, very clear conflict of interest there that should have been clear to a village idiot, let alone our amazingly talented Tory overlord masters.
