    It was funny as fuck seeing Freddie Starr on the news denying allegations. Stood next to his very young, pregnant wife. "Nono, I've no interest in young girls"

    Saw that too. almost did a comedy "spraying mouthful of drink across room" when 69 year old Starr professed his lack of interest in young girls whilst holding hands with the youngest looking 30-odd year old I have ever seen.

    I'm sure Murdoch press will try to make it all about the BBC, but that's a dangerous game. As has been mentioned, this kind of thing was fucking rife in the 70's and 80's and I'm sure there are a lot of skeletons in a lot of non-BBC closets too.

    The thing is, with the relative transparency and accountability of today, its really hard to get your head around how different things used to be. It was a proper old boys network, a 'dont you know who i am?' time when people could do what the fuck they liked as they regularly pulled in 20m viewers.

    Its no exaggeration to say roger mellie from viz is an absolutely perfect characature.

    It's definitely right that everyone is questioning this Newsnight business. Whatever the BBC say it does seem very suspicisous.

    I don't know about the rest of you, but I get angrier with each new story that comes out about Jimmy Saville.

    The problem is that there isn't really anyone to direct that anger at, and regardless of the outcome of the inquiries, there won't be any real closure for those who were abused.

    It's a mess, and as is the way of these things, someone (alive) will ultimately have to be held accountable.

    When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.
