Support are looking into the region switching issue on PS3 for me. Quite why they didn't just ask for my router details up front, I don't know. Got a bad feeling that it might be knackered though. I'll be forced to buy a Roku or something.....

Edit: Hmm, Roku doesn't work, Boxee it is then...

Most have been 'fixed' or something... not sure if there is a work around yet.

Subscribe to Unblock US and set the region to UK...

Right. Just had a wide mouth WTF moment. Ran the Netflix app on my SG2. Nothing new there. Noticed a new icon at the top, looked like a TV stream type icon.

So, started playing something on my phone and was prompted if I wanted to stream it to my TV, it displayed the correct AV name (slightly freaked out here). I hit play and it starts playing on my TV!! Absolutely no fucking idea how!

Could be useful for the above.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

I was playing about with that the other day. Only noticed it when I tried to stream two different things, one on my phone, one on the PS3. Sadly, when I just tried it, it wouldn't play any of the US content I was accessing through my phone. Bastards.

Gonna have a tinker when this movie finishes. Must be through the PS3? Registered mobile device perhaps? Don't recall setting anything up.

Think it just automatically picks up other Netflix devices connected to the network.

Yup spot on Doug. Stream icon only appears on the phone when the PS3 is on and Netflix is running. Kinda defeats the object, but the mini controls on the phone are useful.

Yeah, I enjoyed fucking with the 3 year old who had hold of the remote and couldn't understand why Caillou (Canadian cartoon that he loves) had stopped.

Good god, this PS3 app is a revelation. Infinitely easier to use than the 360 one. Why the hell don't they have the same layout?

This. It even has more options.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

I know. Really don't know why the thought such a bad interface would be a good idea. Even worse when you have to pay for it.

No other ps3 owners on Sky fibre and having the same problems as me? Unblock US answer is to buy another router or another device!

I didn't even realise it was so bad until I booted up the PS3 one, I just assumed the little 'quirks' were universal. Imagine my surprise! :D

What ways is it better than the 360 version? Annoyingly the two times I tried using the PS3 one the picture quality was really bad for some reason.

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

The interface is great. It's very speedy and the layout makes more sense. You select the show, then the season, then the episode. On the 360 you have to start playing the damn thing before you can do that. Really well laid out menus.

Another good feature is that if you quit a show before the next episode starts, it still remembers that you watched the previous one. The Xbox dumps me back to the one I just watched.

I also think I'm getting a better picture, though that may be this SuperHD feature.

It's all little touches really, but they really add up.

Ah right, having to start a show before choosing the episode is a bit shit on the 360, so I agree that is an improvement.

The 360 always remembers which episodes I've watched and goes to the correct one in my experience, so not sure why it doesn't for you.

It's only when you're between episodes, on the 'countdown' screen. On the Xbox I have to let that start the next episode or it doesn't count the previous one as having been watched if I quit the app.

For the love of god please help.

My netflix page is ruined thanks to the amount of kids stuff my wee one's watch on the kids version. 1st up, surely the kids version should store preferences differently to the main version? It doesn't seem to.

Is there anyway to stop my main netflix page being full of kids stuff?

Tough tits I think. I share my 2 allowed concurrent logins with the in-laws. My recommendations page is an eye opener shall we say.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

Frustratingly, no fix for my problem as the Sky router is so locked down. So I either need to spoof a new router or buy another devices that isn't knackered by whatever Netflix have done to their back end infrastructure. Currently leaning towards a Boxee to take advantage of my library properly.

@mrpon Thanks. But now I'm even more hacked off with Microsoft for making you pay for Live Gold to access another paid service, as I have a 360 I'm not using that my mum could happily watch Netflix on for free if they weren't such money-grabbers. Bah.

How have Netflix still not added a queue or watchlist of some kind?

It seems a complete no brainer. I often browse through it and see several things I would like to watch later then promptly forget them when we sit down to actually watch something.

Seems a really basic feature to me.
