TVandMoviesNow.com and feedfliks.com are great for browsing US content but I've come across some sites for Canadian and UK Netflix listings:

    Canada

    UK

Gives a more complete picture than using the Netflix apps or main Netflix site

$10 per year just to search their database for the latest FILMS and television?
  • Deleted user 17 September 2012 20:55:05
Nah, Feedfliks is totally usable without paying. I haven't paid them a penny but I've been using them for ages

My Netflix sub is acting a bit weird at the moment. I tried to get US netflix working a while ago without success, but now I'm getting the US selection on my PC. However, my tablet, which is connected via a hotspot on my PC (therefore I assume same IP goes to netflix) but that only gets UK stuff.

Any ideas? Obviously I don't want to lose the US on the PC, but it would be nice if the tablet was the same!

Also your tablet won't be using the same DNS settings just because it's connected to your PC, it takes the settings from the router.

Don't have a router - I live in Army accommodation and the internet traffic goes through a provider called Wifinity - straight from the PC to the wall with a cable. They only allow two MAC addresses per account, so I use mHotspot on my laptop to create a wifi network, bypassing the MAC issue.

I tried UnblockUS, which wouldn't work, and also tried tunlr but I've set all my DNSs back to auto since then as they were causing problems connecting to Wifinity. I'm assuming they don't like me trying to manually set my DNS for some reason.

Edit - don't know if it means anything, but Steam is still showing UK prices too.

And to confirm - the tablet is a Nexus 7 and is definitely going through the hotspot - it doesn't have 3G or anything like that.

OK update 2 - I checked my network settings and they are definitely set to auto dns. But, I went to tunlr and it says tunlr is activated. Confused. Also doesn't help with tablet issue. Gnnnng.

Sheizen. Explains why it stopped working for me yesterday anyway. Thankfully the unblock us one works without subscription on my 360 - just need a free alternative for iOS and Android.

Discovered this ourselves a few days ago. Will probably cancel Netflix if I have to pay someone like Unblock-US to get access to the US library. It's not even that good a selection except for the telly (which we've seen almost all of that's any good anyway) and the UK library is considerably worse.

Oh well. Wonder how many other Netflix subs they'll lose over Tunlr's (understandable, if frustrating) decision? Probably not enough to notice I suppose.

Any Netflix library in the world for a couple of quid a month? Gimme!

It might be an issue for their UK market, which they are new to and looking to expand. Be interesting to know how many UK Netflix subscribers are just in it for the US content. By the look of this thread, it's all over them!

Anyone else using a DNS service struggling to log in to their National Lottery accounts? Fuckers appear to be blocking access, saying they think I'm outside the UK. Even when using devices that haven't had their DNS fucked about with. Weird.

Just noticed Indie Game The Movie on Netflix UK. There seems to have been a load of stuff added recently although a lot of it I've never heard of so can't speak for the quality.

I guess it'll be the half of the season that's shown on TV, then the other half once it's been shown on TV.

Presumably the eight episodes that have already been broadcast, yes. The other eight haven't been filmed yet (filming starts this December for broadcast July 2013).

This is awesome news, didn't think we would see it until the series was completed plus another year or something.

Unblock US has added Sweden and Denmark which contain a few TV series that I havenít seen on other regions (The Bridge, Spartacus, Terminator, Boss). They also have a license for Warner films (Kubrick, Batman Begins, Matrix trilogy Last Boy Scout etc) and, of course, The Moomins.

    Worth checking out!
