Loads of cheap places at the minute. Argos are doing 12 months for £27.99, for instance. I think Amazon have price-matched that.

Registered 6 years agoI'd usually suggest ebay but can't see any decent deals. Sure I got 12 + 2 months for £29.99 some time ago, but can't see anything as good at the mo.
Amazon have price matched @ £27.99 so you might as well go for that. Certainly a lot better than buying through marketplace directly...Why look, it's a blog:

My local Sainsbury's also had Halo 4 and/or Black Ops 2-branded 13 month subs for £29.99 last week.

Consider letting your existing Gold expire first and grabbing a month for £1 off the dashboard while you're a free member. I was supposed to plop my new year code in back in December but I've been getting the £1/month offer come up each time it lapses. (Just don't forget to immediately switch off auto-renew)

2400 actually, seeing as I actually paid for the second month.

Registered 5 years agoJust looking at the small print, they post them 30 days after the trial has finished, and you only get 2400 points for paying for three months (the latter is why I cancelled because it's more expensive than just buying 2400 points and I thought the selection on there was pretty poor).I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

Registered 7 years agoIt's a terrible service as well, we tried to watch a couple of films on Xbox and PC and it just kept dropping out. We don't have fibre or anything but Netflix has always been fine. -

Either way, I ended up watching quite a few films so not all bad if they don't turn up. Turned off auto-renewal now, no way is it worth £15 a month.

Registered 5 years agoAdditional 1600 Microsoft Points if you remain a subscriber at the end of your free trial. £8.99 offer starts after the free trial unless cancelled. Pay £8.90 for 1st month, then £8.99 a month for two months. Then it's £15 a month. Remainder of the £8.99 lost if you turn off the auto-renew by month 3.
Yeah you could be right, I think I interpreted the "Remainder of the £8.99 lost if you turn off the auto-renew by month 3" bit as "you'll get your points but we'll take the money for three months of subscription even if you cancel".I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

Registered 7 years agoIt's 1600 additional after your first payment, all 30 days after though so they take aaages to come through.
I don't find it bad for £9, would never pay the full though. they premier'd Avengers last week (as it's Sky movies) and usually have pretty good recent stuff. Particularly like the full bond collections and no connection probs here. Cancelled LV and Netflix while I'm trying this out for a couple of months. -

They seem to be the only online film service on planet Earth who offer no subtitles on any movies whatsoever.
Yeah, you go ahead guys ... ignore all the deaf and hard of hearing folks in the world (!)
