I have the 40gb PS3 which gave 36gb of space for games, so 4 gb for system files. This might be the same on the 12gb system I don't know. You may only have 8gb for games or it may be 16gb in total with 12gb available for games.

Either way that should be enough for about 2 games purchased on disk, but would not really be any good for downloading games of the PS store, because of the way it works you need double the space, eg if a game is 7gb on the store you need 14gb of space, 7gb to download it and then 7gb to install it, you get one of those back once it is installed but you need it in the first place.

I just upgraded to 160gb by buying a 2nd hand drive off ebay for £14, so it is not an expensive thing to do if you get frustrated with lack of space.
    Also @ daddy doom bar

Thanks for the info, going to hang on too see if any other options come available in the sales. Cheers

Just wanted to emphasise this deal. Walking dead the complete first season for 800 microsoft points. Depending on where you buy your points this works out cheaper than the Steam sale (Due to the free first episode).

Apologies for being so lazy as to steal yet another bargain from HUKD, but for anyone with a stereo pair of headphones (not just restricted to Turtle Beach), this is worth a fucking look. £20 is very, very cheap (this is the second time I've seen it at £20, ever, and it's rare to find it below £45). :)
    Lovely find, purchased, thanks :)

Hold out if you can. I've no doubt that it's going to get cut further within the first half of 2013. Should never have been priced above £200....and even then, it's going to struggle.

I'm very confident that they've set out with an inflated price so there's room for a substantial drop around the announcement of Sony and Microsoft's new machines- presumably at e3. That's a few months to wait though and I've had a lot of fun on my brother's one.

Aye, I could see its price being dropped to below £200 before any substantial software arrives seeing as its only been out a month and a major retailer has cut 25% of the price off.

Either that or Zavvi vastly overestimated demand and bought most of the UK's stock of Wii U's.

For any Irish Eg'ers, I picked up NFS: Most Wanted on PS3 today in store at my local HMV brand new for €24.99.
  • Deleted user 28 December 2012 21:03:19
Not sure if anyone else would consider this a bargain but just picked up 'Band of Brothers' Blu ray box set from Zavvi for £14.95.

Yet to see it but hear its fantastic stuff.

I think it's pretty good, alternating between it and the 360 one. Not a fan of tilt controls but they work well and it looks lovely.
