    I think you may be waiting a while longer yet. Unless you get a pc version. That's the only one I've seen with price fluctuation.

    Bit weird that this one seems to have held its price actually, given that the last couple had rapidly plummeting price drops soon after release.

    No the super slim is louder but not by much around 120quid at the moment too

    I'd say it's only louder with regular dvd's. Everything else is fine.

    The Walking Dead Episode 1 is currently FREE for a limited time on Xbox 360. :-) I'm going to give it a go to see if it's my kind of game, as reviews have been very positive.

    Sometimes could it be dependent on which drive is in the slims I had a old slim and it was very quite I did trade it in towards the new halo 360 console as I rebought the Scarlett red slim what is a hell of a lot louder than my old slim which I traded,after a few Internet searches I heard they had put faster DVD drives in the newer slims (not the super slims)

    The noise was irritating me so I bought some rubber feet what you use for pc towers problem now solved so maybe it was the faster drive making the noise now cancelled out with the rubber feet.

    Worth a shot for whoever as a noisy console you can buy the rubber feet for a few quid.

    Chaps is it still easy to get the 320gb slim (not super slim) at a good price. I want to get one for my dad...as he has mine at the moment. 62 year old playing (racing car) games indeed!

    The best deal I can see is Argos for the 500gb one, but that is near £300, albeit it does come with 3 games.

    I was hoping for around £200, I don't like the new superslim, so won't buy that for him. I don't want to buy second hand, unless it was from an EGer, my last 2 were from EG, and both consoles were in loved condition, however I don't trust GAME etal.

    Do you guys now of any better/good deals

    @Spanky Interesting little fact: I actually have a page of the original artwork from that comic, here at home. It's the from the scene right at the end, where he goes to lay flowers on his dead girlfriend's grave.

    Spec Ops the line fubar edition on 360 at Game for £12 if anyone's interested.

    It was sold out, but they have more stock. Mine is bought. I will look forward to not playing it for a fair while.

    I really need to get a copy of Spec Ops.

    I believe it features the Hendrix track '1983' which is my favourite piece of music of all time. On that basis alone I feel I should give it a try.

    @Spanky Sadly, none of those particular pages were available in the shop I bought it from. Also, sadly, I couldn't afford the cover page artworks nor the huge poster image from the Marshall Law strip that ran in BLAST.

    If I was to purchase the 12g PS3, could I get away with playing a couple of games without buying anymore storage?
    Looking at uncharted 3 and demon souls for example. Also would system updates etc take up a large chunk of the 12g?

    I have the 40gb PS3 which gave 36gb of space for games, so 4 gb for system files. This might be the same on the 12gb system I don't know. You may only have 8gb for games or it may be 16gb in total with 12gb available for games.

    Either way that should be enough for about 2 games purchased on disk, but would not really be any good for downloading games of the PS store, because of the way it works you need double the space, eg if a game is 7gb on the store you need 14gb of space, 7gb to download it and then 7gb to install it, you get one of those back once it is installed but you need it in the first place.

    I just upgraded to 160gb by buying a 2nd hand drive off ebay for £14, so it is not an expensive thing to do if you get frustrated with lack of space.

    My 12gb had less than that left after updates etc. Most newer games have mandatory installs as well. I couldn't play GT5 until I upgraded. I'd say get an hdd. You can pick them up very cheaply. You will need the official caddy which is £10 off of amazon.
