Reading his biography at the moment, it's a great read, interesting. Surprisingly balanced too. He also seems like a complete cunt, not just in terms of rudeness, but walking around barefoot and throwing tantrums/crying etc.
Was about to ask if anyone had bought it. Is it accessible then? Been looking for a new biography after giving up on the W Buffet tome.
Yeah it's pretty accessible. Interesting insight into his private life and all of the usual stuff you'd expect from a biography. It really lifts the lid on some of his terrible attributes, being a prick to his working class parents and abandoning his kid. It picks apart what drove him and how he pieced together his business acumen. 5-6 chapters in out of 42 (i think).
Decent cheers, might grab it then. It is only £12.99 on the Kindle.

Eh, since when was £12.99 for a newly released book expensive?

And I think we've all already established you don't read Crispy!

For a Kindle book about that dick? Sounds expensive to me. But no doubt you'll get it for "free", right?

The extra 49p is so you can hide your shame more easily.

    I'm a grumpy bastard.

    Mark Zukerberg on Steve Jobs:

Mark Zuckerberg: Oh, I donít know. I mean, he ó heís amazing. He was amazing. I mean, he ó I had a lot of questions for him on Ė

    Charlie Rose: Like what?

Mark Zuckerberg: How to build a team around you, right, thatís focused on building as high quality and good things as you are. How to keep an organization focused, right, when I think the tendency for larger companies is to try to fray and go into all these different areas. Yeah, I mean a lot just on the aesthetics and kind of mission orientation of companies. I mean, Apple is a company that is so focused on just building products that ó for their customers and their users. And ó and thatís like ó itís such a deep part of their mission is build these beautiful products for their users. And I think we connected a lot on this level of, okay, Facebook has this mission thatís really more than just trying to build a company, right, that has a market cap or a value. Itís like weíre trying to do this thing in the world. And I donít know, a lot of it I just think we connected on that level.
    Damn straight. I think?

    Yes, doctor I have cancer!?

Doctor: "we can cut it out, it's very early stage"

    Steve: Nah, alternative therapies.

    OK.

4 years later (4 years on body cancer spreading)

    Doctor: "alternative therapies still?"

Steve: "Maybe you should cut this cancer out?"

    Doctor: "Well, we did say"

Steve, dead, 8 years later, cancer spread, dead. Dick head.
And I hope people don't think I'm having ago at one of my heroes. It's just the fact he could have been here and cunting Bill Gates today if he'd have had the simple treatment when they first found the cancer. But that's you Steve. I still love you, you silly sod.

His life, his choice. One could argue living what's left of your life in a more or less normal manner beats spending the last 3 years of it in a hospital, suffering from the after effects of chemo.

Also, it's better if some people die. I'm not saying he was one of them, just putting it out there.

    Yeah. True.

I'd like to see Apple with him and without.

Nah, they'll just enter the app/music market with Microsoft and we can all have a wank. You think Steve would have settled for that. I can already see Steve's ideas three steps ahead. He was always shitting on Bill cunting Gates. Funny, everyone has turned to software, when the hardware evolution is coming, but you already knew that Steve :p
