I bet it is the fucking Xbox Fusion, because it's the ultimate 'fusion of games, music and entertainment' or some back-of-the-box ready shite.

    Press release:
    http://investor.activision.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=760984

    I enjoyed this part...

"Everyone was expecting us to make Modern Warfare 4, which would have been the safe thing to do. But we're not resting on our laurels," said Mark Rubin, executive producer of developer Infinity Ward. "We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we're building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We can't wait to share them with our community."
Nope, not resting on your laurels at all!

So call of duty, the respawn game and EA at least for ms launch event. Hands down beats ps4 to the 'core' market then before we have even seen it.

That graphic reminds me of The Punisher. Would love a follow up the the XBox/PS2 game.

It is not assumption, cod is biggest seller in world, EA biggest publisher and respawn is the new game from the main people who made cod what it is. Those three together count for most of the market. Kill zone, drive club and the other game don't.

I'm not saying it's a good thing from my point of view, I detest cod.

Nothing but COD's appearance has been confirmed, though.

I'm actually now more excited for the Call of Duty reveal at the MS conference then the next Xbox reveal. It looks like it actually has potential to do something new and interesting and even if it doesn't, it should still be at least a "good" game whereas I'm anticipating a lot of dissapointments for the next Xbox.

Latest Microsoft Windows 8 ad features games listed under Xbox, and video under Xbox video.

It does suggest further integration between console and PC content.

    It's always had that.

It will be interesting to see how CoD sales hold up into the next-gen.

Judging by how good the feel of Rage was this gen with much greater visuals I see the gap of FPS shooter finesse getting even bigger as the console's performance heads north.

So my money is on idsoftware or Epic reclaiming their FPS multiplayer popularity from CoD, much like the way PES struggled to transition its PS2 popularity to this generation.

As a money printing machine CoD will require a slow process of moving players to 720/PS4 to avoid damaging perception and sales of the game on 360/Ps3. To do this leaves the door wide open for an idsofttware, Epic or Valve to launch big on next-gen and take back what they feel is rightfully theirs.

What's Rage got to do with anything? It was an awful game.

    'yard' market? What's that?
  • Deleted user 1 May 2013 19:16:39
Google suggests it's a nursery. Although not the kind that ecosse would be interested in.

guessing not a good thing from context
  • Deleted user 1 May 2013 19:20:40
    @bitch_tits_zero_nine

It is, but hearing that Kotick earns a yearly salary of +$60m probably won't sit well with early adopters.

I've been completely cold turkey on multiplayer FPS this generation(other than trying Planetside2), but would have played Rage in FPS multiplayer had the option existed.

I figure that annual saturation must be starting to set in with CoD by now, just at the same time people start to get nostalgic for the absence of a purest shooter from those that defined the genre to begin with. I also think that next-gen being on x86 home turf for those companies will make a big difference in time to market.

For those of us who aren't into the gay porn scene, what does "yard" mean in this context?

    Does it involve small children?

Yeah, I guess it happened to Halo. COD has been the same game essentially since Modern Warfare.
