If the vita has taught me anything, its that either I flail about too much or physical and touch controls dont mix very well.

@Ultrasoundwave It's been discussed a billion times. Getting devs to support something like that is the issue, so it would probably have minimal impact on Vita sales... if any.

I'm sure Sony is doing something along those lines, though.

These VGLeaks - are we just supposed to take their word for it? They speak as if they are talking facts rather than rampant speculation (which is what I'd categorize it as).

    What's their track record?
Pretty much 100% till now AFAIK

It'd be great, even if it was just an optional controller. A PS4/Vita bundle would be rather tempting, if it appeared to value a Vita at a lower-than-retail price.

Sony aren't going to cannibalise their own sales though, unless they think Vita could die without PS4.

    @Ultrasoundwave

Sony appears to be going as hard after the casuals as MS then with all this camera and touchpad nonsense.

That would be perfect for the Wii U, since the Wii U sucks.

Good God. I picture it malfunctioning and gouging a 2cm deep, bloody trench down your John Thomas. All the while, some Anime, manga barely legal is giggling and asking you what your hobbies are..

They should make a game like the movie Teeth, with certain consequences for your johnson if you lose.

I know a Japanese guy who'd love that shit. The crazy fuck.

Hey, thought: what if Durango's HDMI in is for Kinect 2? It's a video source after all, and if they pit a CPU in it all the console does is translate the feed surely?

It's pretty much guaranteed to take TV feeds etc. The tech has been discussed as part of a new standard for quite some time now (I can't remember the name of it for the life of me, but the info is out there, I may try and dig it up when I get a minute).

The nextbox is going to be a DVR/streaming device that also plays games.

I do look forward to what Kinect 2 offers, as some of the things the company who developed it have come up with looks incredible.

You have to feel a little ashamed when you find out that even the wank toy industry is less sexually discriminating than most games.

That doesn't really make sense since as the sex toy industry is dominated by products for women.

I actually laughed out loud at that. The problem is the way i went through joysticks with that game i'm actually worried something would drop off in the 100M!

Those pics are actual game peripherals btw. As the kotaku link pointed out, these pervert game makers are quite the innovative bunch.

Slightly worried what the javelin would involve.

6 player Kinect is fairly impressive. Who the hell has that much space though? Also, what the hell is Active IR resolution, and why didn't the old Kinect have it?

That aside, nothing else seems new in there.

Impressive but awful - I can imagine the news stories about it: Big Brother, Nonce Hackers Spying on Kiddies, Nanny Microsoft Kills Joy etc etc.

Means it can tell the difference between you and your sofa, I'd guess.

As for the need for 6-skeleton tracking, I'd assume it's not for 6p gaming except maybe in interaction-minimal games like card games. It might be useful if a console could tell if you've got an audience for your performance, and switch into party mode which makes everything super-easy but super-neat-looking. But to be honest, if you turn on your games console for games when you've mates round who aren't gamers, you must be some sort of neckbeard who ought to be shown up to their mates as the social inadequate they are.

Actually, that must be the point of the IR sensor - to sense the slightly cooler area below the chin caused by the neckbeard. It's a neckbeard sensor!
