Deserved winner. It all looked amazing though, I was starving by the end of it.

Sad for Holly, but you can't feel too bad about Jo winning. She seemed really nice too.

Soooooooooo who's already hooked again this year?

I'm currently rooting for John, Cathryn and Manisha :)

Ugh, Cathryn gets on my nerves. John or James to win!

Think Danny or James may win. John had a mare last episode, lucky to stay in.

Funny reading on Twitter that John was suffering from a hangover during the first day of filming of the last episode. Might explain some of his woeful efforts.

I forgot about James. He's definitely up there as a potential winner.

Have they got to the biscuits yet? My second favourite after the Bread round.

I absolutely love this programme. What I would give to be able to go around after the judges and try the different creations!

It's looking pretty close again this year. The medical student, the law student and the ITU consultant look the best to me.

Can't remember all the names but the young chap with the glasses will probably win. He's definitely been the most consistent.

Yeah, him of the tank-top. He looks the best so far overall.

I think Danny will come out on top. It did make me laugh last night. As soon as Brendan started decorating his torte I said 'that looks like something my gran would make'. Bloody tangerine slices on everything.

And I would expect more of a vicar's wife ffs. What was it she said last night, something like "getting on a train and coming here by myself is the bravest thing I've ever done" <---- WOW.

Yeah, MrsBob and I looked at each other, mouths agape at that comment. Just bloody weird!

It's a very strong field this year and pretty close too, but Tank Top Boy will probably clinch it I think.

There's always a shy little dappy one isn't there! And I love her!

Otherwise give it to the Brendanator!

It's ok to love this then? Good. Me & the Mrs can't get enough of it. I've asked for her to bake me a tarte tatin after t'other week.

    No wonder she's so fat.

I baked my first sweet shortcrust last weekend. It was a tarte au citron from last years' bake off book. Very nice it was too. Having a go at some of these recipes makes you appreciate the skill of the participants.

I really like this show. However the competitors have started to become generic series-to-series (with the exception of Brendan :-)) I quite like how we get "prissy everything-has-to-be-perfect young mum", "Young student-y guy" (x2 this year), "Pudding-faced woman" and "Stay-at-home sold-my-house-and-living-off-the-property-oh-plus-Giles-has-a-job-in-the-city type older lady.
