Seems a wee bit daft that the Yanks are 1 week ahead. So it goes, at least things are happening again by the look of it

I've renamed this as it's a US pace thread really and don't want people getting spoilered up by accident.

    You dare to strike Scurrcules!?

Well... I was certainly surprised by that. Talk about blowing it.

Episdoes 4 was terrific. I really like that they're not dragging the story out and the events in this one leave me wondering where the series is going next. Compulsive viewing IMO.

PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, PC (Intel Core i7-4770K, 16 GB, 4 GB EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 SC, Windows 8.1 Pro), iPad 4, iPad mini with Retina Display.

Yeah that was a great episode. Damn this waiting a week malarkey, they've had some right old cliffhangers already.

@jonsaan I don't really watch live / terrestrial TV, so my 'pace' is whatever country / channel is showing something first :)

And on the subject of this - I thought they'd drag it out too, OMG CLIFFHANGER.

Download it in HD, a week early, with no adverts. Or wait a week (at best, lots of decent US shows don't even make it over here) for Channel 4's Ad filled airing.
    No brainer really.

I just watch it as it airs!

Me too. Too many bad memories.

In fairness though, I'm a bit happier that I'm not the only person to end up like that after inviting a woman back to his hotel room.

Is there a UK pace thread, or had I best just avoid this thread now?

Oh wow, that was a quality hour of television right there. I foresee Emmys in the future.

EDIT: Except for the thing with Dana and the VP's son in the car. Eyes rolled a bit there. But it was only a small blemish on a fantastic episode. The interrogation scenes were masterful.

    Yup, it was fantastic.

The Dana thing was disappointing. She's turning into the equivalent of Kim Bauer.

She's not *that* bad a trouble magnet. At least not yet. And at least, unlike with Ms. Bauer, the idiocy, moodiness and recklessness is believable. She's only 15 or so.

See, I'm glad this is after Dexter, because while Dexter continues to get ridiculous and kinda lame, this just gets more and more intense. Really ramping up now.

I like Dexter, but in a different way to something like this. And the new season has been great so far.

Anyway, this episode was a bit of a step down from last week's, but the last few have left me with a significant reserve of goodwill. So I don't really care so much.

I'm not such a fan of Brody's army buddies and their little investigation, though. It just seems like an excuse to keep the characters in the show, rather than them actually contributing in some way.
  • Deleted user 5 November 2012 05:22:19
I think I'm just burnt out on Dexter too much to enjoy it. I found the last season so uniformly terrible that anything short of utterly riveting TV isn't going to cut it.

    Anyway, back to Homeland.

    Wow. Great Episode.

Have to agree with the dana thing. To be fair i thought it was going to be a car accident but i guess it gives the writers to use something against walden.

The thing in the tailor shop veered a bit back into 24-style silliness for my liking. One might think a troop of armored men in black with machine guns would draw a teensy bit more attention, and wouldn't be able to just waltz in there and start a massacre of CIA operatives.

I'm also a bit susprised, and disappointed, at how quickly the VP's son turned into a cock. The hit-and-run victim is dead? OH MAN MY LIFE IS OVER.

As soon as they turned up at the tailor's without any of the main characters you could just tell that something like that was going to happen. It was all a bit contrived but still very entertaining.

Funnily enough, I said to the missus last night 'It's all a bit Kim Bauer' regarding the daughter etc. Not a good storyline!!!

totally, but also got the wire vibes when they started to strip and restart the pin board. lets hope so!

Was a good episode this week, though you could see the I'm only doing this to kill myself thing from a mile off, and I'm not entirely convinced that guy could be running around on government ops a day or so after being shot in the stomach. But I'm not a doctor.

Security at that prison seems pretty lax. Seems like someone should have been watching the room.

I'm glad Quinn didn't die, but it is slightly amusing how little getting shot fazed him. He's basically doing the same stuff he was doing last week.

Also, I still don't like the Dana storyline, but at least now it's been acceptably tied into the main plot. Although I wonder why the fuck the CIA would send Carrie of all people to confront Brody at the police station. Isn't this supposed to be discreet or something?
