I played some of the PS2 titles along with the GBA game. I'm tempted to rent this one as I wasn't that impressed with the demo tbh.

Registered 5 years agoI cancelled my order. I quite liked the look and feel of it but it seemed to be a game that took quite a lot of time up, which right now I am a little short on and I have a backlog of games to play. -

Registered 4 years agoThat's the safe thing to do. I've still got 5 or 6 games sitting around unplayed at the moment. Some of them have been wrapped up for a good couple of years now, so i've halted my buying habbits. At least for physical releases.3DS: 4210 4002 8289 (Dave)

Registered 2 years agoto be fair the metro has never been a serious game reviewer in my eyes. It seems to me that the reviewers are journalists rather then gamers (the same with all newspaper publications)
i can see this getting quite a few good reviews3DS: 5198 2465 6450

Registered 2 years agoahhhhh kk my bad!
i will admit to not havign read the metro for a few years but remember the games review section to be a rare occasion and usually feature one game with a half page review and a few 1 paragraph reviews at the bottom. I have attempted the sun a few times since but it left a bad taste in my mouth so i seem to have tarred all with the same brush3DS: 5198 2465 6450

I'm going with a rental of this after replaying KH1 & 2. Good old LoveFilm!

Registered 2 years agoI think the Metro reviews often make good points, personally, but everyone gets different things out of reviews.
I wonder if this is a game that would benefit from being played on the XL given that I personally felt that the demo could get quite cluttered on the small screen during battles. Might be that it's all down to the camera I would find it just as cluttered on a 90% bigger screen too.
Will get it at some point anyway.PSN ID: finn1

Registered 8 years agoMetro Skyward Sword review was spot on if memory serves me correctly, I tend to agree with their reviews. Everything he's mentioned there as a negative I can totally imagine being stuff that would bother me in this, like the 90's white rapper voice work etc. -

If you never intend to play them you could get pretty quick plot rundowns. I think one of the reviews said they had some in-game?

If you ever do get a chance to I would recommend giving 1&2 a go as they were pretty good fun.PSN ID: finn1

In all seriousness MadCaddy, my copy should hopefully be appearing today so await my initial feedback... I do anticipate the story will confuse, it's whether or not the mechanics do too. -

Registered 8 years agoFirst Impressions - this is a bit of a brain dump so hopefully it mostly makes sense...
- Looks wonderful, drop sections particularly.
- Plenty of customisation.
- Camera woeful - it's CPP compatible so that may improve it but locking on could be simpler.
- Flowmotion is great - a v neat addition for traversing and utilising the environment
- Combat is entertaining for the most part. Blocking/dodging/abilities on a cool down from your command deck are very similar to Birth By Sleep but the addition of flowmotion opens it up even more.
- Lots of tutorials that you will want to view, plus memories and a glossary to fill in details of the story (which is notably barmy).
- The switching between main characters seems a neat idea but may start to get annoying the more involved you become with the game - apparently it's on a timer so if you're not paying attention it could happen in the middle of a boss fight.
- 3DS screen feels a little too small for the action imho.
I shall persevere! -
Playing this game has sold me on the idea of the 3DS XL. It looks really nice but could do with a larger screen.
Jaggies be damned! The 3DS XL shall be mine! -

Three cards seems quite a small pack to me, although I presume there aren't all that many of them.
