    I think nipsen is saying they shouldn't remake Tie Fighter because it won't use Move and the PS3 wouldn't be able to push it out at 1080p because GIANT ENEMY CRABS, WIBBLEWIBBLEWIKIWIOBBLEor somesuch.

    Has anyone mentioned that gamepad control pad scheme someone on here suggested a couple of years ago, I think each button had mapped 3 - 4 functions

    If you condensed xwing/tie fighter down to its fundamentals and with some radial menus for coms/targeting, it could work on console....maybe a dumbed down version

    @Rodney - yeah, been there. Looking at all the old controls quite a few could be done away with altogether while many of them could easily be grouped into radial menus. Cycling targets back and forward would have to hog a couple of buttons to themselves though.

    Does anyone reckon there's any chance Lucasarts would set a game in the ep 4-6 era. It annoys me that most Star Wars games now are exclusively set in the ep 1-3 era.

    There's something about 1980s cinema's depiction of the future that I love (I know Star Wars isn't technically the future) . 80s sci fi had the best spaceship design/art style.

    ..I'm sure we've established by now that quality has nothing to do with sales. And even that bad quality actually makes a better game (if you advertise enough). Just look at Call of Duty.

    I played Lair, it was dog shit. Flying around was like controlling a brick on a string.

    Comparing Haze to CoD is a bit hilarious tbh.

    But COD, whether you like it or not, is an extremely polished game.

    Marketing budgets can determine sales sometimes, but generally not critical reception.

    Haze is like Resistance in quality, which only sold because it was the only game on the PS3 for 2 years.

    Khani, I could imagine targeting working on two buttons, one to cycle targets, and another to switch between targeting nearest enemy ship and targetting nearest ship that is targeting you, can't think of anymore absolute essentials, but its been a while.

    For single player, I could live with radial menus pausing the game, would give it a tactical, almost turn based,, feel.
