Didn't see this mentioned even though it's a couple of weeks old.

The BBC is setting up 3 50ft screens around the country (Glasgow, Bradford and London) that will be broadcasting parts of the olympics in Super High Vision (AKA ultra high def).

    In a nutshell, that's 7,680 4,320 resolution shown at 120hz O_O

I wasn't interested in any part of the olympics so far but I may well wander across to Bradford for this one :-)

Wait till Lord Coe gets hold of that. He'll be charging you to watch it.

If you're not playing in Super High Vision there really is no point.

Better get phAge to set it up so there's no problems.

I read the title as BBC to demo Sugar High Vision at Olympics.

Needless to say I was dissappointed.

That resolution is impressive but I'm more interested in seeing stuff filmed/displayed at 120fps

Went to see a session of this in Bradford yesterday. They showed a demo reel and then an edited version of the opening ceremony. Bloody great stuff! Sat about 10ft away from a 30ft screen as they showed wide-angle shots of the stadium and replayed the soundtrack in 22.2 sound. The 120fps was impressive too - made everything look *incredibly* solid

Would recommend seeing one of the showings if you can
