The Mayweather Vs Ortiz Countdown Thread

    Calling all Boxing fans.

    With only 12 days left until the untouuchable Mayweather and vicious Vicotr meet in Las Vegas for this mega bout was wondering what peoples opinions of how this fight will go down.

    I think Mayweather is going to beat Ortiz from pillar to post in a usual Mayweather defensive master class frustrating Ortiz with sharp counters making him miss for either an easy points win or late stoppage. Ortiz although a sharp game fighter is not in the same league as Money.

    How do you see the fight going down?

    Unfortunately any Mayweather fight that's not Manny I find it hard to get excited about, although this will be one I'll watch for sure....Mayweather will win with relative ease.

    In other news Berto won the IBF belt at the weekend from Zaveck so if Ortiz does lose I see a rematch with Berto.

    If you havent seen the their first fight I recommend you watch it on youtube.

    Just noticed it's on that Primetime PPV channel....wtf?!?!? Why do Sky not have the big fights anymore? I thought Mayweather would def be on Sky.

    That was a cheap cheap shot, but given the cheating nature of the headbutt I can't say I blame him for taking the opportunity.

    At first I thought Mayweather was a prick who should be punished for unsportsmanlike behaviour, but then I saw the slo-mo of Ortiz's headbutt, and now I can't say I feel sorry for the latter. Pricks who deliberately use foul play and then want to "apologize" deserve everything they get.

    Still, lame way to end the fight.

    Exactly, it would be equally a crime against boxing if people feel sorry for Ortiz. You can argue the cheapness of the shot, but Ortiz did something just as bad 10 seconds earlier.

    I certainly don't feel sorry for Ortiz, but that doesn't mean I can't think Mayweather is a cunt of the highest order that should be gangraped by pigs.

    Oh, definitely. Still, if a guy had just tried to headbutt me, and then pulled a weak-ass "I'm so sorry"-stunt like that, I can't say that I wouldn't have put him down like that as well.

    But yeah - Mayweather is most certainly a bonafide dickhole.
