I'm still on my first playthrough and am trying to find that hidden monster. The Mighty Rose heard some chains rattling but when he went to another floor the sound stopped.

Also I received Coronet Armour from the lady teacher but I cannot find it anywhere in my inventory. What and where is it?
You'll get you "ass" handed to you on a plate i should imagine. He's tough. A high level is needed

Yeah I've been looking at reaper guides after coming across one (I should have know better after the multiple "are you sure?" messages) and level 80 looks like the bare minimum along with a suitably powerful personamon.

I should spoiler this really but I don't want anyone else to have to redo a floor like I did!

Fought him with an Lv81 main, avg Lv75 for the party. Two of them with Almighty attacks, one healing, one for buffs. Took about 15mins, but it wasn't too difficult.

Vita locked up 30mins later, lost the uber-armour reward. :(

@elvenscroll Your question mark is quite right. :p Sounds like you might be a bit over levelled if you found the boss a breeze, but then I was often lazily underleveled. :)
Level 77 and done first try. So I'm not sure. :/
Guess you found it then! You did that pretty zippily. :p Congrats! Can't remember levels, though, to be honest.

Edit: Actually, maybe you were just referring to the second half of my comment? I'm confusing myself. ;) Either way, congratulations are still in order for how far you've got.
I have now located the second part of your post. ;)

Sorted Marie out, now we appear to be going to the source of the midnight channel.

Bit sad its about to end really.

And done, clock on 72 hours. I got an epilogue so I assume I got the best ending.

    Loved every second. 10/10

    Now for P3P!

72 hours first play through second best ending. The best (true) ending is only viable second playthrough.

    Agreed superb game

What other ending is there? I rescued Marie from the hollow forest and then on the second to last day defeated Izanami and Inzanami-no-Okami

    Ending spoilers:

The game fast forwarded to later in the year and MC came back. Everyone met up with him and they ended up at Dojimas together. All the character portraits had changed (Kanjis was hilarious).

Oh i maybe i'm confused perhaps it can only be platinumed in min two playthroughs. I'm sure i read something  somewhere. . . . Don't tell me you platinumed it on your first playthrough too. Lol

@elvenscroll I thought that was hilarious too. Shame that they haven't kept that look for P4 Arena, as far as I can see. :p

I thought that was the true ending as well. You can only fight Margaret on the second playthrough but I didn't think the actual ending changed?

Ordered! Decided that soul Sacrifice isn't exciting me as much so will give this a look. The setting, social links and pretty muh everything about it looks and sounds utterly awful. But the reviews and hype can only be ignored for so long!

Good show sir! I really hope you like it. I was skeptical myself after going off JRPG's post FFX but the hype sold me and I've fully fallen in love with it. Worst case scenario, flog it!

Hope you enjoy it. The first few hours are rather slow paced, but it soon picks up. Best RPG I've played in a long time.

I've read more reviews for this than anything else and am very prepared for a slow start. Used to love my jrpgs but not invested in one in a while, see how I get on with this! :)

Funnily enough, it was the social aspect of it that drew me in. The combat isn't great really.
  • Deleted user 26 April 2013 08:17:14
Yeah I was the complete opposite, the thought of the social aspect actually makes me feel quite sick. But now that I have it it isn't that bad actually.

I appear to be stuck on Yukiko and have made the mistake of leaving it until the last day of rain so can't even retreat and restock.

Are you using the SOS feature? Go back to the entrance of the dungeon and fight some low level enemies, SOS should help build your magic up again at the start of each fight, try and get a sweep and take all the restore cards you can.
  • Deleted user 26 April 2013 08:42:05
Yeah but barely getting any restore with it. I've made the mistake of not stocking up on potions and can't go out to restock.
  • Deleted user 26 April 2013 08:57:25
Fucking YES - just scraped by. Down to a man with no SP. Fuck that was close. Will make sure to learn from this!

Really enjoying this so far. It is basically everything it was described to be, but I don't hate it.

So after spending tons of money on my 3DS (damn you Nintendo promotion) i thought i best give my Vita some love, its only fair.

Went and bought Persona 4 on the basis of all the glowing reviews. However i know nothing about JRPG and Persnoa franchise in particular other than its an RPG made in Japan. Any particular tips or things i need to watch out for, like under leveling or making certain choices that screw you up later.

Or is Persona 4 nothing like this and i should just 'go with the flow' ?

Go with the flow. :p Much more fun that way. Although possibly don't do what Mowgli did just above. ;)

My goodness, I love this game.

Started playing again after a long break (I got distracted by real life and only played Fifa in quick bursts), and am well into it again.

Kanji just recovered and I went and got his weapon from the mini-boss in the bath-house.

Oh, and I just got the scooter! :-P

Totally put off P3P though :( I'm 20 hours into it, so hopefully that changes.

@ZizouFC Same happened with me with P3fez on PS2, got quite far into it and then never went back. Unlike you I can't go back to an RPG after too long a gap. If I dont play for more than a week or two I completely lose the flow of it and feel the need to start over. Not got P4G yet but plan too at some point if I dont end up playing the PS2 version in the mean time.

I'm not proud of it, but it's more the presentation and navigation in Persona 3 Portable in particular that's putting me off. P4 is just streets ahead in that respect.

I will finish P4 first and try again.

I still have to continue with FFVII...

@ZizouFC I've not played the PSP version although I have seen video. Its significantly different to the original PS2 version. The PS2 has more cut scenes instead of static images and you can move freely around the school, etc instead of picking destination in a menu.

    @Spectral

And that's how P4: Golden is, and it's so much "better", and that's why going back to P3P is so difficult.

Yea I just looked at some of the psp stuff on youtube. I think if I ever go back it'll be to PS2. Even the intro is massively different. Also I believe the PSP version was made significantly easier. Far less of a penalty for spending too long in the tower.
