Really enjoying this. Great fun to play and some genuine laugh out loud moment so far. I'm in the 4th world and Murray has had some amazing time on screen.

Yep - and it's cross-buy (i.e. buy the PS3 version and get the Vita one free)

It hasn't moved on at all from Sly 3. It's smoother, more fleshed out and has some great new characters, but it doesn't do anything innovative.

Wow - Murray's Japanese showpiece is epic!

The loooong load times (between the main hub and hideout) and really starting to grate, though.

Finished the 1st world last night, loving this so far.
Nice to play something that is just fun and has so many different play styles. Really takes me back to the PS2 days and hopefully this will sell enough to warrant another release in the future.

Great to be able to switch between the Vita and PS3 versions as an added bonus.

Really enjoying Episode 2 ATM - agree with the changing play styles - a nice bit of variation. This picks up further in the second episode :)

Quick question - Trophies - are there 2 seperate lists (i.e one for the Vita version and another for the PS3 one) and do you essentially get 2 trophies every time?? (Does what I've asked even make sense!?)

@Flying_Pig It's a shared trophy list, so only one set across both games.

Actually, I've read elsewhere that the Vita and PS3 versions have seperate Trophy lists - simply loading up a cross save will cause all earned trophies to pop

    :D

    Ending spoiler. Shit ending.

Really enjoyed it on the whole. Caremelita being the only really downside.

    8/10 from me.

There's certainly two trophy lists on my profile, aiming for two platinums also.

On the last world now, aiming to finish this weekend at least if not 100% it.

Apparently the mini-games do break it somewhat though.

    They don't. They're very good.

@Flying_Pig Ah, I stand corrected! I haven't downloaded it onto my Vita yet, due to only having an 8gb card, plus the Vita doesn't get released into the wild either! If it is seperate trophy lists though, that may soon change!

I never realised this can happen. Loaded up motorstorm on ps3 since getting plat on vita and I now have a free plat. Is it definitely the same for Sly?

Yes it is. Upload the save via cross save from any platform, then pull it down on the other one and watch the trophies pop..... :)

    Yes and no.

Its a cross play game, so if you play alternate sessions on PS3 and then Vita you would end up completing the game and having your trophies distributed across two consoles, you'd then need to play the game again the other way so that you could get the trophies you'd missed, which would defeat the point of cross-save.

Started playing this yesterday. It's a bit great, isn't it. Oh, how I've missed unpretentious cartoon platformers with not a gun to be seen.

@Triggerhappytel - agree. Aside from Ratchet & Clank there's very little good stuff in the platforming genre this generation.

While not strictly a platformer, If you have a 3DS,you have to get Luigis mansion 2. It's great too, I must spend a couple quid on this as well

Not got a 3DS (yet), but Luigi's Mansion is definitely on my radar for if/when I do.

Nearly finished Episode 2 (I know I'm falling behind, but I don't play on the Vita at weekends...), just got the Train heist mission to do.

Still brilliant, however, that 'race' which Sly had to do (balancing on the ball) was incredibly infuriating. The mini-games are mostly great, but like in some of the other Sly games, can occasionally be pretty poor.

Funny you should mention that, I have one up for grabs very shortly (non XL) as I've upgraded. If you're looking for one cheap I'd be willing to let it go for a reasonable sum. It's in great nick!

    /Sales mode off

On another note, does anyone know if it's possible to buy the Ps3 version through SEN on my laptop and, without downloading it to my PS3, to activate the Vita version?

I'm tempted to buy it, but with no access to my PS3 at the moment, I don't want to waste 24.99.

    Cheers.

    Don't tempt me :)

But seriously - I've got more than enough on the Vita to keep me happy, so I'm a good few years off getting a 3DS.

It should work - buying the cross-buy version essentially puts the PS3 and Vita versions in your download list. So no need to 'activate' it through your PS3. Also - the Vita version comes in 3 or 4 different versions - with different language combinations. You only need to download one of them.
