Fuck no. I've been dying my hair for years. The trick is getting it right (which I would have thought the Hollywood lot could pull off).

Richard Gere should really consider some tones or something.

I realise I do this a lot, but never has a gayer phrase been uttered on these hallowed forums.

Fish fingers and chips pretty straight forward.

We're commenting on Hollywood hair styles. I don't think any of us have any right to the hetero card at the moment.

I've always wanted to see Richard in a nice cravat.

There's only one man who can carry off a cravat.

Im kind of looking forward to going grey. I think it will suit me and I will look even hunkier. Like a cross between Paul Hollywood and Danny Wallace.

I'm going for ragged and broken. Should work a treat. Right now I just look scruffy.

I don't think I'm likely to go all that grey. I'm much more likely to go bald. In fact, I'm already well on my way to bald. And what did I get for my birthday last year? Clippers, that's what!

Yeah, with my grooming skills I'm going to end up less Captain Picard and more Terry Nutkins.

I'm growing a (proper) beard for the first time... it's surprisingly annoying to keep tidy. Have done goatees, but this fits my mood better of late.

Just grow it long, then grab it in your fist and trim it at the end of your fist.

    I'm a grumpy bastard.

I try growing my beard Santa-like once a year or so. The wife isn't too thrilled about it, though, so it doesn't last long. I just use hair trimmers like what a barber would have to keep the beard at bay otherwise.

Individualism is the biggest reason for psychiatric distress, i.e social anxiety and depression. We were happier in smaller communities were everyone had a place and a purpose.

I'd rather have a sense of self than live in a collectivist society.

Coincidentally I'm having a facebook debate about socialism and communism and individualism and so on and so forth, prompted by this little "nugget"* that's doing the rounds:

    CLASSROOM SOCIALISM

Is this man truly a genius?
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride
too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the new average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Human nature will always cause socialism's style of government to fail because the world has producers and non-producers (makers and takers).

It could not be any simpler than that.

    *of shit

@meme That is the dark side of the internet right there. Opinion masquerading as information. Opinionation.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

  • Deleted user 15 January 2013 21:29:18
It's barely even opinion. It's just flat out factually wrong in almost every way.
