Without wanting to take the thread in a depressing direction... I've realised that since my mother died I have absolutely no-one (in real life) I can have an intellectual discussion with.

It's very frustrating at times. I used to love just randomly discussing politics, theology, history... anything. But no-one I know has any interest in current events or anything that would cause them to engage their brain for more than a moment. :(
Oh man. That is a bit depressing.

You're gonna have to plug that gap somehow.

I see it being more likely that I just melt into the swamp of the opinion-less.

Maybe become a drunk like Fruit and just babble to myself.

Person on the other end will have to pay... and they'll hate you forever because it'll probably mean they end up having to collect it from a depot too.

    Scum!

(if it's to a business they'll just say return to sender)

Watching a bit of the Golden Globes last night and seeing old actors with dyed hair, never really noticed before but does look a bit daft now as do most actors clinging to youth.

I would go grey gracefully, you?

My hair is falling out before it gets chance to go grey. I receded visibly while typing this post.

The problem is that it could go the other way. Richard Gere at the Golden Globes looked ancient, mostly because his hair has gone beyond grey and is now stark white.

When I tire of colouring my hair unnatural shades I get told how old I look by some people - there's a fair streak of white in it these days.

Those people can, of course, go fuck themselves - but I don't think actors have that option if they want to keep working a lot of the time.

Pure white is probably easier to live with than an off-white, mind. It'll look fucking awesome when it all goes that way.

-- boobs do nothing for me, I want moustaches and chest hair.

  • Deleted user 15 January 2013 16:54:24
Oh yeah, the obviously dyed look is ridiculous. But Gere should really consider some tones or something. He looks like he belongs on Dad's Army at the moment.
