Start is probably seen as more "positive" than pause. I dunno, I'm guessing.

Was thinking something like that, or maybe it's a relic from arcade machines that didn't have a pause.

And what about "back" or "select"? When are they ever used to go back or to select anything.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

Plenty of games on the NES and the Gameboy used the select button to select game modes, or to scroll through the menu (althogh sooner or later they realised people would rather scroll using up and down on the d-pad).

Also, how would you enter the Konami code without Select?

OK, I don't get how remi16's Liberty Reserve / Perfect Money scam works. I think it's in the exchanger you use because otherwise it's just a straight arbitrage (and a big one). But how?

I can't see how they get your bank details as those are held with LR or PM, both established and longstanding. Hell you can pay with Paypal if you want.

    Baffled.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

This one - no idea. Anything financial that is more complicated than "If i buy this do i have to eat beans on toast for the rest of the month" is beyond me.

Yeah, they promise you advantageous exchange rates (weirdly USD to USD) if you use their exchanger, take your deposit $20 or whatever and then you never see any money back.

I have quite an impressive list of blocked people, and I can't remember blocking anyone except the person I accidentally added just now. It's not automatic is it? Be a big enough bellend and the forum just spits you out.

I've been tempted to ignore people, but it seems a bit ignorant (probably a better word for it). Even if people are trolling, they generally contain some valid points. It's just a shame they tend to ruin those valid points by stating them as fact outright then insulting anyone who holds a differing opinion.

This entire post is fact and if you disagree you're an Aardvark Fellater.

You've rubbed off on a lot of the forum. It's not hard to find someone willing to call you a retard or a downer these days.

Does anyone else get a queer thrill of geek joy at tidying their inbox? I've just been labelling and setting rules in my gmail. Far more satisfying than it should be. Order to chaos.

Counterpoint - there are more retards and downers on the forum these days too.

I'm fairly sure I didn't start the Internet/retard love affair either. Though I'm happy to take credit.
