|Title says it all really. Used Xpadder once before, went to download it and use it again and found out you now have to pay|
Anyone use a good/free alternative to Xpadder?
Just use an older version, it's only the new releases you have to pay for.

I use Xpadder, I just got the 5.3 ish version (I think it was) for nothing (it was definitely for nothing) from majorgeeks.com (I think it was).
I can confirm it works fine, allowing me to play X3 Terran Conflict very badly with my 360 pad (the badness being purely due to incompetence and not due to Xpadder)
Just Dl'd 5.3 from majorgeeks.com. No W7 support though
Boo! Anything with Win 7?
Joy2Key looks like it could work. Not tried it yet as the servers are down but it looks like it's configurable so that's a good start.

If you have VVVVVV you might have a copy of joytokey already. It was in the game folder of the version I got from steam.

There are a couple of guides on YouTube for running the free version of XPadder on W7. Can't remember the details but it worked for me.

I would use CTK! Freeware and easy to use.
