As for the final stat screen I had everyone with me, I was tempted to let Ben go but thought the better of it, he better come through in the end! This space left intentionally blank.

Registered 5 years agoJust finished Episode 4. OMG! I felt like a little school girl when the credits rolled, literally can't wait for the final episode. It just gets better and better!
Final screen wise. Kenny stated that I havn't had his back recently so wouldn't come with me. However, he was still willing ro wait for me (go figure). Other than that I still had Ben, Omid and the woman.

Registered 3 years agoFuck. That was awesome. The attic bit was just heartbreaking. I ended up with the full group to come with me at the end, tempting to chuck Ben to the zombies, the fuck up. I literally swore out loud when he showed me the hatchet, what a tool. -

Registered 5 years agoJust completed it.
I took Christa and Omid with me. Kenny wanted to join but when I offered Ben (after saving his life after telling the others to kick his ass later) the choice of coming, Kenny opted out and Ben chose to stay. Somehow this episode didn't rock me as much as the two and three. Also Chuck was introduced as a character and died way too soon. Love the fact that Lee got bitten in the end. And I noticed that only 21% of players and myself chose to kill the kid themselves rather than make Kenny do it. -

Registered 5 years agoRe. The attic. I bashed him also. I didn't want to use my foot and find that I had to make more than one attempt at killing the poor brighter. Also, strange that the decision was much more heart wrenching than when I killed off Duck. When I shot him I actually didn't care all that much.Xbox Live/PS3/Steam - Kokapetl

Registered 8 years agoAfter ep 4 it's just me and Kenny versus the world. Not quite sure how as I've punched him in the face and killed his kid, I think the rest of the group got a bit pissed that I let Ben die but he was useless so fuck him.
Haven't played it on the iPad so can't comment on controls but a big screen really adds to the illusion of manipulating a TV show. -

Registered 4 years agoI somehow ended up with all 5 people following me at the end of episode 4. According to the end of episode stats, that makes me part of only 16% of people on PC. The majority, at 18%, only had kenny. I can only assume that 84% of people are douche bags ;pFor the emperor!

Registered 6 years agoJesus that bit in the attic was really tough, with all the clues to the little boy's previously happy family life, and the pet dog that he'd buried. Heartbreaking.
/am big softy with a son round about his age.
I encouraged Kenny to do the deed in the attic, and in marked contrast to my big softy moment earlier, dropped Ben like a sack of shit- apparently only 13% of people agreed with me that he was a fucking liability. Ended up with everyone else following me.

Registered 8 years agoAnother superb episode that kept me on the edge of my seat, really puts 'triple A' shite like Resident Evil 6 to shame. I'd say get it on console, lights out and speakers up.
The house and the school were great settings, I shot the kid in the attic and buried him next to his dog which was sad, surprised so many others left him alive in the attic to wander for eternity. And why did so many chose to let Ben die? That's Crawford talk that is. -

I...I chose not to tell anyone I was bit, and go after Clem on my own.
I've made a huge mistake. -

Registered 5 years agoHAY GUYS! I HAZ HATCHET! LOL, IT WAS JUST USELESSLY BRACING THAT DOOR OVER THERE, the one with all the zombies behind ... oh
What a fucktard Ben is.
But at least he's self-aware.
His repeated failures weighed on his conscience until his guilt broke him.
I'd been waiting for this to happen. Here's why I kept him:
The unwritten rules of narrative buildup dictate that Ben will become the Joker up my sleeve: the guy who, during the climax, finally attains redemption. Probably by sacrificing himself somehow.
Kenny, however, is a self-involved cunt.
I've been supporting him and his family from A to Z.
I did tell him off for killing Lilly's dad like a psycho, but apart from that, I always had his back when it mattered.
And now that I finally need his help - now that I'm a walking corpse and Clem's life is on the line... he's like "dude, I'd love to help you - god knows you've done a lot for my family - but you weren't nice to me once.
Basically: waahhh wahh, fuck your surrogate daughter, MY FEELINGS WERE HURT THAT ONE TIME!
Fuck you, Kenny. Go man the boat while I save Clementine.
I'll take Ben along, because despite his uselessness, at least he has the potential to blossom into a hero, or something. You're just a selfish, broken, ungrateful wanker and I'm glad your family died.
On a gentler note, the new characters (Charles, Christa, Omid and Molly) make the old characters look like shit. Charles is was awesome, Christa and Omid are pleasingly nice and non-psychotic, and Molly is a fucking ninja.

Registered 5 years agoAlso, Clem is the most adorable thing ever. She may just be a mass of pixels, but my paternal devotion to her is unfailing and unquestioned.
It reminds me of The Road, in which the father sees his son as "the last god", whom he must protect at all costs.
When Lee got bitten, I wasn't sad for him; I just got more worried about Clementine. "Who will protect her now?", I thought, before cursing Lee for his carelessness.
Many props to Telltale for this.

Having read a fair distance into the comics, I've lost all hope for any kind of narrative redemption for any Walking Dead character.
I chose to let Ben get mauled by the Zombies, he's fucked up so many times it's unreal. I reasoned that Kenny would leave if I kept Ben around, and Kenny is much more useful than Ben
In a weird way, I hope you're right about Ben. It'll make the second playthrough more interesting. -

Registered 11 years agoI can see why he did what he did at the motel but he really should have told people what was going on rather than hiding it which ended up with everything going to hell because of his secrecy.
Other than that he's a bit of a liability, however he is still human when there's not a lot of them about. This space left intentionally blank.

Registered 2 years agoI have the gang minus Kenny. Who apparently I have never done anything for. So he says. Mind you, at least the boat should be ready when we've got Clementine back, assuming he doesn't just leave on his own.
I've not read the comics, but I'm assuming that there really is nothing that can be done for Lee now?
It has to be said that Ben is probably the last person you'd want with you when the going gets tough, but he's not a bad person, just weak and shockingly dim. Despite doing some mindbogglingly stupid things (what did he think that the axe was doing in the door handles??) he's never done any of them out of malice.
Plus leaving people behind (or dropping them into a nest of zombies) is just not something I want to do.
I'm hoping Molly might show up again to kick ass in the next episode. I liked her. Shame about, er, spade man though.
I quite liked that the theme of parental feelings was what did for Crawford (clearly named after my science teacher at school whose experiments also always failed).
Was it supposed to be significant that the zombies all appeared to be heading somewhere at the end of the episode?PSN ID: finn1
