Fair play to them, but there is no way I would go public with it. -

It's not just beggars though, i've heard such things as underground gangs taking family members hostage for ransom. I know that most personal friends and family would leak it around your local city in the matter of months but to tell an entire nation you have just won the biggest win on record is abit insane.kingnothing12 wrote:

Registered 9 years agoWould have been more than happy to win of course, but why for the love of god did the Lotto not cap it at twenty Mil and make 8 multi winners instead.
Same for the lotto, make 2 or 3 mil top prize and spread the love.
@King
again I agree, could be big targets now, no...not like that."Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"

Registered 5 years agoI dont know what possible incentive there is for going public with this?
They better spend it quick before the impending crushing heart attack catches up with them both

Registered 6 years agoTheres nothing like putting the lottery on, spending the following hour daydreaming about what you could do with the cash, then to have your hopes dashed with not even a single number coming out. -

Registered 7 years agoI wouldn't go public myself but I don't really see the problem. The logic in here seems to be that they are now target number one. But surely that would then apply to everyone on the rich list? At least going public there is no worry that the bad people who do find out that you are rich can't use the fact that it is a secret to their advantage.Pissy pants.

Actually they did not really have a choice as they were going to appear in Britain’s richest list at 400 and something. I am sure journalists would have been looking at the new entries. I think they actually knew exactly what number they were going to come in at. The only way to avoid that would be to give some of the money away.

Spread the remainder (proportionately) over the next, say, 50 or 100 winners?
Presumably because they can't force people to have the right numbers.
Winning this much money is just retarded.
I'd be happy with just 50 mil. -
Unless ... they become the criminals themselves!. That's what I would do. I'd immediately turn to a life of crime and I'd kidnap the bad people, and the poor.

First thing for them to do is probably liposuction. They could spend a hell of a lot on that.
