This game just hadn't gripped me as much as i hoped it would do. Four hours in and i've no motivation to play anymore.
82 hours in and still playing
I wasn't actually all that impressed 4 hours in either. Not sure what happened.

Same with me. So far very enjoyable. Not sure I want to buy the DLC though. Though as a mainly PC player, only really know the lads from FF 7 and 8. It is getting me ready to replay 7, 8 and try 9 when Playstation is finally available on Vita, and FF 10 is ever released.
That was a reply to mogamer, not sure what happened, maybe too many beers. Though it's never too many beers.

any ideas about the upcoming DLC?
No idea. It seems odd that they are using different schedules from America, but only releasing the American schedule ahead of the tracks going live.

DLC is up:
BMS - FFIV - Battle 2
BMS - FFXI - Battle Theme
BMS - FFXII - Esper Battle
FMS - FFXIII - March of the Dreadnoughts
Videos of all four songs available here.
Anyone still playing this..? I've slowed down a bit thanks to the frustration that comes from trying to Ult SS those last two series So I'm playing it a bit less now, but enjoying it more as a result! Also levelling a third party (Rydia, Locke, Aeris, Yuna), and I've found out that Rhythmia tops out at 99,999 - I don't know why, but I kind of expected it to just keep going.
Anyway, new DLC up today:
FFIII - Crystal Cave - FMS
FFX - Challenge - BMS
FFXI (ToAU) - Ragnarok - BMS
FFXII - The Royal City of Rabanastre – Town Ward Upper Stratum - FMS
As usual, check out the songs here to 'try' before you buy.
Bought these earlier. Not a bad selection, but I think the weakest pack so far - Challenge in particular never really actually goes anywhere and is just really 30 seconds of percussion on a loop (IMO). It actually ends just as the track is starting to pick up (as it fades out a guitar track starts to kick into gear).
The FFXII track is ok, but again it's really just a 10 second melody on a loop with little in the way of musical progression.
Ragnarok... well, I've never been the biggest fan of the music in FFXI in the first place and consider it to be some of Uematsu's weakest work on the series.
Crystal Cave is nice enough, but again I think the game missed a trick by picking the original chiptune renditions from earlier games over re-recorded orchestral arrangements.
Completely agree re: 'Challenge'. I love it in the game, but in Theatrhythm, nothing happens.
Your comment about Crystal Cave is a good point, and I'd actually be quite happy to see both available for some tracks. The chiptune versions are (generally) very charming, but the orchestral arrangements tend to be much more complex, and feel as if they're fulfilling the potential of the original piece.
I only know any music from FFXI from Distant Worlds and Theatrhythm, but I quite like some pieces, such as Ronfaure. As for XII, I could only get through fifteen hours of it. This is one of the few pieces I actually recognise from the game as a result.
So yeah, bit of a weak bunch for me, too.
I've stopped completely recently - been trying to plough through Phoenix Wright 3 before returning to it (although now New Super Mario Bros 2 has arrived...!), going to download all the new tracks and get back on it
@andywilkie35 My time away from Theatrhythm has gone into Dissidia 012 on my Vita. And I'll be replaying FFVII on the 28th. And then going to Distant Worlds in Nov. A normal person would probably be sick of FF after all that...
That's a very specific date for FFVII, that anything to do with an update to the Vita? Hope so, I want to play FFVI!
@andywilkie35 AFAIK, that's when PS1 Classics will be available on Vita. I think it was announced at Gamescom, so should be a European date.
Hit 100 hours and realised I need to put it down.
got all characters to level 99 so I'm happy to stop really.
That's superb news, hooray!

More FF 7, 6, 4, and 9 tracks please
Today's DLC (videos here as always):
FFV - BMS - The Decisive Battle
FFVIII - BMS -Force Your Way \o/
FFX - BMS - Otherworld
FFXI - FMS - The Sanctuary of Zi'Tah
Time to step away from the Vita (and FFVII) and grab my stylus.
That's not innuendo.
This week's DLC:
FFVIII - The Extreme - BMS
FFIX - The Final Battle - BMS
FFIX - Dark City Treno - FMS
FFX - A Contest of Aeons - BMS
A good set this week. I could do without the Treno theme though, never been too fond of it.
Videos of the songs are here.
I think we already have those. Where are you getting your info? If it's a US site, it's worth bearing in mind they're getting their DLC on a different schedule to ours.

I always get them straight from the store - whatever is new on the store is what I type up. I went on the store today and those four (and only those four) were available. Did they go up before today? I only check on Fridays.
Cheers Ror - been playing it loads again recently. Was very pleased they added the FFVIII boss music, epic stuff.
Agree on Treno though, funnily enough a couple of days ago I thought "I hope they don't add that to the game". Shall not be downloading that!
No worries. I've barely touched it, been too engrossed in FFVII! I always fire it up for the DLC though, and although I don't really like the Treno theme, I downloaded it anyway! But then, I download everything...
There have been some very good battle themes that've gone up these last country ple of weeks - 'Force your way' last week was a highlight
Time for my weekly thread bump! This week's DLC:
FFX - Final Battle - BMS
FFXI - Gustaberg - FMS
FFXII - The Battle for Freedom - BMS
FFVXIII - Somnus - FMS
Yep, we finally get our hands on Vs XIII theme song 'Somnus'. Now all we need is the game itself...
As always, videos of the songs are here.
Weekly bumpage! Today's DLC.
FFXI - Sarutabaruta - FMS
FFXII - Boss Battle - BMS
FFXIII - Desperate Struggle
FF Type-0 - We Have Arrived - BMS
Yes, we have another track from an FF game we don't have. And it's a good'n. I really hope we get Type-0 at some point.
Videos are here, as always.
No new DLC today I guess the dream is over...

Really loving this game so far. I knew I'd like it, but never imagine getting quite this hooked. Sleeper hit for sure. I think everyone had passed this off before it even came out.
Thearhythm is now available on Ios.
Apparently it is an "augmented" version with new songs.
New modes include Quest Medley, which creates a random pairing of field and battle tracks, a composition mode, the ability to share compositions between friends, and other stuff.
It's a free app to download, with tracks and stuff being bough via in-app purchases.

I heard you can get Ramza? Not that I own an iPad but that's nice to know.
