@FortysixterUK There's youtube vids of the latest four here. The other twelve you'll have to trawl youtube for, I'm afraid!|
I got an SS rank on FFVII Ultimate Score last night Going to try for a few more. Not FFIV.

I also got my copy today, and I love it. Very addictive. Haven't even got to the more recent games which I expect I'll enjoy more as I played those and know the tunes.
I'm on 35 hours now and still going. Easily my GOTY so far.
Just unlocked Aeris, trying to level everyone up to level 99 too. Got 9 of them done at the mo.
Forty hours in. Not bad then!! We'll see. I kicked in a good three hours yesturday. Looking forward to Distant worlds playing it. lol
8/10 in gamesTM.
Some odd errors in the review though. They moan a bit that JENOVA isn't one of the songs on the cart.
Except, er, it is.
That's brilliant. You can tell exactly how much (or little) time they put into their review then. Much like certain other reviews that called the RPG mechanics tacked-on - they obviously didn't touch any Ult tracks or any Dark Notes above the first couple.
-85,000rm (FFVIII movie unlocked in the Theatre, just FFVII to go, I'm guessing that'll be 100,000rm)
-SS ranks in Ultimate on FFI, VII, XIII (strangely, I've done series where I've got SS/SS/S and got an overall rank of S, and one where I got an SS/S/S and got an overall SS. Very confusing.)
-32 Dark Notes completed (I've been re-doing earlier notes for shards)
-66/77 songs unlocked in the music player
-7 characters unlocked (Minwu, Cid, Rydia, Faris, Locke, Yuna, Ashe)
-Cards: 78/81 normal; 49/81 Holo; 17/81 Plat
Still a long way to go
Good stuff mate, will post a similar update later to compare
@andywilkie35 Please do I'm interested to see how different everyone's unlocks are - I know darkmorgado said a while back he had a full card binder, for instance, and I've been missing just three cards for about a week now!
I also have the full card binder card no. 3 was the last one I got absolutely ages after the rest!
I'm missing 17, 27 and 50. I've had those gaps for ages now!
Will have a look at those in a bit and see what they are
Only got FFIV battle song to get an S on ultimate now and that's all done. Literally halfway through and my girlfriend's brother and mrs have come over for dinner, so it's in on the side right now. So close. Might need to go for a toilet break...
Cheers! I think one of them is Barbariccia from FFIV, not sure of the other two.
I think Battle with the Four Fiends haunts my dreams! I'm sure I'll S-rank it eventually... I might have to make use of the practice feature.
Forty hours with Theatrhythm
68 hours on my card.
Blimey. That's more then I've put into most AAA home console releases this gen.
Sixty-eight hours!? Bloody hell! My forty hours is slightly ahead of the time I've put into Tales of Vesperia so far, and I've been playing that for almost twice as long.
It's just remarkably addictive, and digestible in bite-sized chunks.
If I'm bored, or waiting for something on telly to start, then I'll whip out the 3DS and get in a couple of songs. If I'm sitting in the passenger seat in the car, I'll whip it out. If I'm having a cigarette outside, I'll whip it out. And the lure of "just a hundred more rhythm points till the next unlock" is horrendously addictive, the ultimate carrot on a stick - unlocks are paced apart just enough so that you're not rewarded for every song you do, but the next unlock is always just another of songs around the corner.
And there's always that knowledge that no matter how well you do on a song, you can always do better. Or the lure of unlocking another Dark Note. Or another character to unlock.
It's gaming crack!

Yep, I completely agree, it's incredibly hard to put down. I tend to play it in bed at night, which is not a good idea. I end up sitting in bed wide-eyed, staring at the screen, and before I know it it's 3am.
There's also that great feeling that you actually feel like a conductor, swiping his little stick around. On that level, it successfully manages to invoke the same "rock star" feeling that Guitar Hero and Rock Band manage.
I'd actually love a proper conducting game on console. I'm sure Kinect or Wii could pull it off.
Kinect: Distant Worlds. I'd buy it.
Not that I want to pretend I'm Arnie Roth or anything...
I can now add FFII Ultimate SS rank to FFI, VII and XIII. It's the first one I've managed to get SS/SS/SS on.
I can now also add FFV, VI and XI to that list So FFI, II, V, VI, VII, XI and XIII Ultimate SS ranks. I will get them all!
DLC is now up:
FFI - Sunken Shrine - FMS
FFVII - Fight On! - BMS
FFX - Movement in Green - FMS
FFX - Battle Theme - BMS
You can check out vids of all four songs here if you want to hear them before putting down your hard-earned.
The only thing that disappoints me about FFX is that so many of the Field tracks are just re-arrangements of the main theme. Beautiful re-arrangements to be fair, but still just the same tune performed with different instruments or at a different tempo.
FFX was an poor soundtrack in comparison to the other. "Zanarkand" pure genious and a few others but far too rocky for my liking. I prefer the tranquil stuff
I wouldn't call it poor - Suteki Da Ne is still a brilliant tune, so I can sort of forgive it being reused so much. And I can think of games in the series which overall I think have a worse soundtrack (13 springs to mind, though I still actually like the soundtrack for 13, but it doesn't come close to Uematsu's work on the series). Perhaps lacking in original melodies might be more accurate?
@darkmorgado I agree, and XIII's soundtrack is very similar in that regard. There's quite a few tracks that are just different arrangements of Serah's Theme. I do like Serah's Theme though; I remember the first time it showed up in-game I just stood still and listened. I think it was the Bodhum flashback when Snow finds out about Serah being a l'Cie. Having said that, my favourite piece from FFXIII is Oerba Village.

Serah's theme is one of the few in FFXIII that actually could be mistaken for a Uematsu track. Very nice melody.

Just started playing this - about 4 hours in, and loving it so far. I'm a sucker for good rhythm games, and this is a very good rhythm game. Bought it from Zavvi where, with a discount code, it cost me just £13.45 - and for that price, it's an absolute steal.
