Searched for a thread and couldn't find one.

Comes on Mondays at 10pm, great show I think, with Kayvan Novak (Voice of Fonejacker) Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) and Rhys Thomas (Casualty, Bellamy's people)

Great cast, genuinely laugh out loud moments.

    Anybody seen it?

    Yes.

Not only did I not hate it, not only did I not come away thinking vaguely dissatisfied thoughts and wanting my half hour back, I actually thought it was pretty decent.

For me, and for comedies, or dramedies like this one, that's pretty high praise.

    Anything like Green Wing?

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

what was that one where Helen Baxendale was a junior doctor? Like that, but with ambulances, and played rather more for laughs but still quite cynical.

I really liked the first episode, it's got a good balance of drama and dark comedy. Richard Madden seems a lot more natural playing Ash than he does playing Robb Stark.

I liked it. And I know its written as a comedy but in terms of the banter inside the ambulance etc its far more realistic than anything casualty etc has ever shown. Looking forward to more.

Green Wing was so very nearly good, yet so very much not.

Green Wing was ok but I don't think that comparing every new comedy to it really helps anything.

Yeah, at least compare each new comedy to something funny.

Liked last nights episode. Especially the silly posh woman and her boy. "You are public servants. You are here to serve me. I pay your wages; you must do what I say." I've heard all those little phrase so many times. For a comedy, this is scarily close to reality, which is what makes it great. :D

and there just didn't seem to be anything funny beyond 'lol, sex! Sex is funny right? VAGINAS!'.

I gathered that from the adverts and it put me off the show.

I didn't see any adverts for this, and I'm glad I didn't judging by recent posts.

hmmmm episode tow was much better than the first.my main problem is the main character.cant remember his name. His dialogue is just awful and doesn't sit well with the others. He keeps blowing on about biology etc. and just ruins the show in much the same way as Will did in the last Inbetweeners series. The reason i think episode two was better was because he had less of the shit contrived dialogue. But its not really funny and fails a bit at being dramatic and i do agree that sex is used as some kind of joke.not a very funny one mind. its fairly likeable though.

    Put away those firey biscuits

edit: oh wait, I fail reading comprehension. Brett liked the show but thinks the adverts must have been horrible. Now I see!

If anything, the latest episode made me put an ICE number on my phone's wallpaper.

Enjoying it quite a bit, despite not being able to understand half of what they're saying.

I'm still lost between 'this is pure genius' and 'this is just trying to be too clever'. When I love it, I really do, but it's not all the time.

I really liked the first episode. Bit long though, comedies should never exceed half an hour.

Just watched the first three episodes and really liking it so far.

If anything it's got the same vibe as Teachers which is one of my favourite series of all time.

    Maxine is lovely.

When Maxine was dressed "yieldingly" she looks incredibly attractive - hadn't really noticed her until that point though I must say.

As for the program itself, I still can't decide whether I like it or not. I got a bit bored during the second episode but really enjoyed the one from this week (was that the second or third one?).

For me, it does have that Teachers feeling (which I loved as well, Hairy), but just seems a bit slower. The main character is basically the same character as Simon from Teachers!

what's a mpff, is she part of the Mornington Peninsula Fly Fishers?

Top program really enjoying every episode, the last two episodes have really been enjoyable.
