    Is there any finer thing than a 2 hour lunch in the sunshine with bottles of corona with the knowledge that you'll be back in the same pub in about 3.5 hours...

    apart from if they'd had fosters of course.

    Yeah there is something better, having lunchtime beers in a pub but then not having to go back to work afterwards and just staying there for the rest of the day

    Ugh... I take it your a young man?

    I used to love going to the loal on my (30 minute) lunch break back in the days working in the warehouse at House of Fraser, I'd dog 2 pints of Stella and totter off bak to work light headed, where I would wheel about £3000 of Denby pottery around with a slightly glazed smile on my face...

    Until the day I dropped a box full of the stuff that is :/

    Let's not lambast the man for his preferred choice of lunchtime pint. Let's celebrate the joy that is afternoon boozing. Especially Sundays. Best session ever.

    I think it's port anyway. It's from Portugal and smells like booze.

    I sued to like heading to the pub for a few at lunch time. Till around 3 in the afternoon when it took a mighty will to remain awake and the minutes turned into hours.

    Hitting the pub for lunch on a Friday with the boss who says fuck it after pint three is teh awesome.

    Lunchtime drinking always made me drunk faster than evening drinking.

    2 pints at lunchtime and when i got back to work i felt arseholed!!

    A mate of mine used to have at least 4 in an hour (exactly, couldn't extend it), plus food which was usually a burger. His record was 6 plus food.

    If I was to start drinking at lunch time I would have to continue throughout the day as an hour or more gap between drinks and I'll be asleep.

    Weapon of choice is Peroni on tap. If not then I'll do the Fosters.

    I just can't drink strong beer. Too old for it, gives me a massive hangover. Same with ale - 3 pints is my max. Give me cooking lager any day, chemicals and all

    I am pretty much salivating. And all I have to do is walk to the fridge. Not the same as a pub beer garden though

    There's not much in the world that will keep me awake after I've had three beers. So once I start drinking I may as well continue till it's time to go to sleep.

    Which is why I love a weekend 'lunchtime' session, stotting home at quarter to four in the morning.

    It has been a while since I did an all day session thinking about it. Might see what the word on the street is tomorrow and drink my body weight.

    What's wrong with you people!? Not for having pub lunch and a beer. Drinking Foster's, that's just ... 0_o

    Anyway, the only thing better than the scenario decribed in the OP (with proper beer instead of Foster's) is if your work is throwing a BBQ at 5pm with free booze thrown in.

    Friday lunchtime beers are the best. Except if you work in Canary Wharf where everywhere is full of tossers from about 10.30AM.

    My current lunchtime beer of choice is Blue Moon which tastes almost exactly like berocca but is 6%. It's great.

    There's is no other lager that hits the spot better than Peroni...an ice cold bottle when you're parched is one of the best sensations this world has to offer.

    ...so thirsty right now...

    Christ if I had a couple of lunchtime beers I'd be smashed. Cannot hold it at that time of the day.

    Although I'm horribly hungover today so the thought of one beer makes me feel sick never mind two.

    Ya not wrong, mate, but I think a pint from tap is slightly better.
    Think I shoot to the supermarket in a mo and stock up on some large bottles of peroni.
