That's a lovely design. $105 for a single speaker seems quite expensive though.

@Mr-Brett Yeah, I know. Couldn't resist though. Still got time for buyers remorse and drop my pledge down to $1 before it ends

Wheee! My second kickstarter project has delivered. Just a photo book but still neat nonetheless.

Nice, I was wondering a day or two ago where my Double Fine stuff was and then maybe 10 minutes later I check my inbox and find a mail which said they'd been shipped :)

Thought this kick starter malarkey was just for new technology, didn't realise it was for creative projects generally...
Need to start being creative somehow.

Awesome, I rather wanted the $100 reward but came to my senses when I asked myself "Would I by a $100 special edition?", I would not :)

Hmm, that's a good question. I take it you've changed your e-mail on kickstarter? You can probably contact Double Fine and have your details changed.

Hey guys, there's a kickstarter for Evilot, made by a Chilean team.
    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/syrenaica/evilot
It supports all major platforms (mobile and desktop) as well as Ouya.
I happen to know one of the team and they deserve to get funded. I would have loved to see them make the strecth goals but it will be a close thing for them to make the main target, by the looks of it.
Hope some people will see this and decide to contribute! :)
(Also mentioned over at the most recent RPS Kickstarter round-up, if people want to see what they had to say about it).

Pluck looks deserving of more exposer, it's a top-down arcade shooter developed by a high school student.

It's as indie as they come and it looks excellent. Back it!

Only 6 days left and it's a long way to go. UK game dev too.
The game looks like it will be decent too.

What makes that different to the other four or five billion generic 3D racers on the mobiles?

I might have more interest if they showed some game footage rather than Jabba the Hut in their video.

There are such a lot of good projects on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, too bad I am not millionaire to support them all.

One of them is called "MetroJoust": indiegogo.com/MetroJoust

A Jousting game, not with old knights and horses but with today people and motorcycles.

Woo another MMO. Just what we need.

Over on Kickstarter, the iCP 2 project has just launched. It's an update to the original iControlPad which is a dual-analogue gamepad which connects to your phone or tablet over bluetooth, except now it also has a 5-row keyboard and a slightly more snazzy metal faceplate. Given it's from the people behind the iCP (and the illfated Pandora console) hopefully the d-pad and buttons should be better than most third party controllers.

Shame the tiered prices don't include postage no matter where on the world you live unless you pledge 150 quid, so it's $82 for the standard iCP2. I hear also that this is the last chance to get an original (non-keyboard) iCP, with those available at $61 for some unspecified special edition.

I've just pledged $25 to Arakion, one of the games who had an image put in today's RPG/Kickstarter editorial. About 3/5 of the way to target with 14 days to go, though it's only a small budget; game appears to be structurally complete, looking fairly impressive for a one-man developer project, the kickstarter is mainly for "tidying up" / expansion.

I recently pledged to get a Galago which is a funky little ARM dev board with on-board debugging, for all you software guys interested into getting into embedded hardware. It's entered it's last week and it approaching 200% of its goal too, which is nice.

Also got my MATTER postcard in the other day, a little behind schedule but I don't mind as there's lots of cool stuff happening on the emails. Looks to be shaping up into a nice read.

I've already pledged to Project Eternity, but Arakion definitely has an unusual style to it and the idea of (re-)building a town in an RPG has me intrigued. Little surprise: got a thank you message from the creator a few minutes after I signed up; it was probably automated, but a nice touch all the same.

Have to say, Blackspace looks interesting as well; just added it to my reminder list, just have to make sure I do go back when the reminder comes in, unlike the first Shadowrun game which I forgot to follow up...

I've done this a few times, meaning to pledge, but undecided on an amount then forget at the last minute (Dead Space and Banner Saga were my two). I now go for a pledge level I'd be happy with earlier so I can change later but it's setup already.

I am also at the point where I've mainly being backing the bigger name projects that iterest me, but I don't want to support too many projects (for financial reasons as well as most of mine being long development times too). Arakion looks potentially interesting but as others have said I've just backed Eternity, BS5 and Knock Knock...

I enjoyed Grimrock though (which I preordered), although time to play the games is always a killer...

On the Galago kickstarter they've added some new 'app boards' that you can plug the Galago into to give it access to extra sensors. One of the app boards is the Explorer board which adds GPS, a temperature sensor and a MicroSD slot for, say, logging your data to. Pretty smart.

Another project which grabbed my attention is the Turtle Shell bluetooth speaker (or Boombox as they seem to like to call it). The video's worth checking out, and I'm tempted to pledge for this, especially as you're not only able to use it via bluetooth, but it also has a 3.5mm socket for plugging dumb kit into which for me at least expands its capabilities quite a lot. Just have to work out if I can afford it after all I've pledged on the Galago.

Just thought I'd flag up the boosted boards kickstarter.

Massively expensive and I'll never buy one, but it just made me chuckle. Goes six miles on a full charge apparently!
