    I'm glad to see that now we've become the rogue splinter group, the BF3 discussion has now moved from graphic cards to how spotty/ ugly/ fat/ smelly PC gamers may or may not be...



    Copied and pasted from the other thread (boo!) as it got ignored in all the talk of "eSport gamers":

    A quick question about the pre-orders- if you pre-order the game from anywhere, do you get the extra BF2 maps free, or is it only certain retailers? I don't care about the extra perks/ equipment retailer exclusive bonus, as I think it looks pointless anyway. Is it basically the same as the VIP code from BC2 where everyone who bought it new received it?

    Hmm, interesting. I have pre-ordered from Amazon because I happened to be there. No idea what pre-order bonus there is.
    I'm sure it will all even out anyway. The pre-order bonuses from LA Noire are now available for download to everyone.

    As long as you pre-order the game (from anywhere) then you get the BF2 maps for free first. It will eventually be free for everyone.

    No, the B2K pack is only free to preorders, it will be PDLC. It's a code in the box so you can access it as soon as it goes live to everyone.

    The retail incentives will be unlocked to everyone after a period of time.

    My mate works in a Northampton Gamestation on Saturdays and says every shift is just a constant wave of b'boys coming in and asking these same questions. By the by, he said that within a week of them putting up the 'MW3 coming soon' posters up, they had 300+ pre-orders signed up. Tons more since then too. Battlefield has had nowhere near the same amount of interest since pre-orders started he reckons (not that I care, but just giving you a flavour).

    Edit: Just read this back and it could be interpreted as being proper fanboy-ish. I assure you I'm not. I only rent COD/Battlefield games to complete the single player campaigns, as online doesn't interest me. I tend to have just as much fun with one or the other tbh.

    They are just the videogame equievalent of 'The Rock' to me. Very silly with lots of big set-pieces. I just turn my brain off and enjoy the ride.

    I love The Rock, actually. The only decent film Michael Bay ever did.

    And yeah, they are fun. I just can't get excited about the new ones (MW3 and BF3). It's just the same shit as the last five years, over and over and over and over and over...
