Is this correct - it'll be download-only when it gets released over here?

Started playing this tonight, only about 45 minutes in but it is definitely The Game. Borderline criminal that they didn't have this ready to go for Euro launch.

If you love games where just the sheer act of moving your character around is great fun, this is very much another one of those.

I would also like to know if an English-language "Asian" version is available anywhere? (I thought I read about one elsewhere, but I've been unable to find it.)

And I would just like to echo an earlier poster's comments about how inexcusable Sony's treatment has been of what is clearly the best, most interesting game the Vita's had so far. I mean come on, at least give us a release date for it!

And better yet, how about not relegating it to download-only, and instead give us a nice physical limited edition with that glorious art book?

    For shame, Sony, for shame.

Sigh... every time theres a new post in this thread i get that little bit of excitement theres a release day. but always...

I think against the judgement of my heart. sony have actually done the right thjng. wipeout, fifA and uncharted were the big draw for early adopters and capturing thr imagination of potential customers. gravity rush sadly would have been sort of pushed aside. at least with a release a couple of months down the line it will have nothing to compete against wheb vita users will be itching for a new game. it should boost it sales.

I hope that game cards are a given seeing the memory cards are ridiculously expensive and transferring content to/from the PS Vita is a bit of a pain due to being so sloooooooooooooooow.

I see little appeal in buying PSV games digitally when they are available on a card other than the convenience of not having to switch game cards; they're slower to load, more expensive and there's no trade-in value to offset the cost once you've finished with the game. Also, some game cards have space for their own patches and save games, e.g. Virtua Tennis 4, which frees up the memory card.

PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, PC (Intel Core i7-4770K, 16 GB, 3 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780, Windows 8.1 Pro), iPad 4, iPad mini with Retina Display.

Later than hoped but a date to remember - the card option is better ad will undoubtedly be cheaper too. Also nice to have a great game in the summer on a console I can take to the beach (if i dare)

Interested to see what it costs.

Now it's confirmed for retail release I have the option of just renting it, whereas beforehand it was a definite purchase.

Think I may go with retail just to have pretty box art on my shelf. ;) Later than I expected but it is coming and that's the main thing.

Having put a decent amount of time into my import copy, I can easily say it is one of the most enjoyable games I've ever had the pleasure to play. Graphically it is so stylish - the environments are just as expressive as the characters, and it's all wrapped up using sumptuous cel-shaded artwork.

Moving into a new area offers a genuine sense of wonder and exploration, and the game is happy to let you literally float around freely at your own pace, Which is so much fun in it's own right. The more you level up Kat's abilities, the more the game expands to allow for further and faster flight, and even more aggresive and impressive fighting moves.

And the music? Wow. Beautiful compositions that riff on classical themes, at times even encompassing the bombastic soundtracks of Japanese Saturday afternoon cartoons from the seventies (usually when there's a bit of heightened tension to proceedings). It has impressed me so much, I've already got the 2CD OST on pre-order.

In conclusion, to all those who perceive this as the Vita's killer app, I can confirm that you're spot on the money. I really hope Sony get behind the game and push it hard; with the right advertising and coverage by the media (beyond the gaming press), this game could do greatly and help shift a whole lot of Vitas.

Does the import copy have any english subtitles you can turn on?
If not I think I'll just wait till June to pick it up, everything I've seen and heard sounds great. As for the 'killer app' potential, maybe Sony could be aiming for a price drop on the Vita and be selling this along-side come June.

Just because the over priced 3DS had a quick price drop really doesnt mean the Vita will. It's very well priced at the moment, highly unlikely they're going to cut it in the first year.

Yeah I think the Vita was very well priced for what you get. Maybe they'll be planning a small kind of 2nd launch, by June it'll be 6 months old. Boost sales in the middle of the year to take them up to the Christmas period.

Six months would be a hell of a long boost. If you want to boost Christmas sales, you generally do something in the run up to Christmas, not six months ahead.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Just downloaded and played the demo (with English subtitles) from the HK store. WOW! Looks stunning, got a real Jet Set Radio type vibe going on. Love my third person games so this'll be a purchase.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.
