Anyone know if a UK release date has been clarified for this yet? I see that The Guardian have reviewed it as part of their "PS Vita launch titles" reviews (http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2012/feb/13/ps-vita-launch-game-reviews), and I must say it's gone from an interesting curio for me to my must-have launch title... But now I can't find any confirmation that it is even going to be available at launch yet! (Oh what a roller-coaster of emotions.)

Keep seeing mixed messages on release dates for this, sadly. Saw yesterday that this isn't coming out in the US 'til May, but will be out in Japan any day.

Any idea of what the PSN price on this will be? Is it getting a physical release in the West?

@michaelius That's very sweet of them and everything, but the best Valentine's present they could really give us is... a release date! ;)

It won't be out at launch. The closest we have is Spring 2012.

    ARGH. still no release date.

I really want the vita, but trying it hard to justify at the moment without this game. All the other titles - stardust, lumines, EG, UC, wipeout, i really want as well, but i own them in some other form, mostly on the ps3 as well.

If sony came out right now and said , yup gravity rush is out on wednesday, i delve straight in now and slap my pre-order down and say thank you very much heres my money for the vita, GR and a few other games.

Currently i'm pre-odering cancelling more times than ... well more times more than i should be. give me a leash sony!

So, I got a little impatient... the result being this diminutive package arriving from Japan this morning:

Vita cases are so tiny! (Zelda 3DS provided for scale) They're like super-deformed Bluray cases. It's painful to note that I won't be getting my Vita until Wednesday, so I guess I'll have to be content with thumbing through the art book until then...

Does the Japanese version and English voice over or English subtitles/menu options?

Ooh, bet the art book for that would be gorgeous! I'm so tempted to hunt one down now. Thanks for the photos-it's funny to see the box next to the 3DS.

@NOSAVIOUR - It has neither, although it does have some French! That's more down to the plot of the game than offering language support though. There was talk of the Chinese edition having English, unfortunately that was snuffed out by PlayAsia as they had the good sense to notify everyone who had pre-ordered that it didn't.

@santashi - I didn't have time to open up the book in my usual hurried Monday morning panic, but I'll try and take some more pics later and put them up.

Quarter 2 (April to June) is as specific as I've seen for a release date for this superb looking game.

PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, PC (Intel Core i7-4770K, 16 GB, 4 GB EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 SC, Windows 8.1 Pro), iPad 4, iPad mini with Retina Display.

This could be the first Japanese game I've bought since the Gamecube/Dreamcast/N64 days.

It's supposedly got a good story.

Not being able to make head or tail of the story is the only thing stopping me from importing.

    Hated, adored, never ignored.

Played an hour or so after trying (and largely failing) to skirt around the number of Vita games which switch off the Wifi during play to avoid it melting or whatever. It's lovely, isn't it? Falling everywhere is a great way to get around. Amazing music, too - they recorded it live and have clearly used a fair amount of space on it so it sounds excellent.

@uiruki I've been overwhelmed with all the content/installing/updating overload of other games on day one, but from my short play time, I've instantly fallen in love with it. It's a beautiful game to look at on DAT SCREEN, especially the pseudo-3D effect on the comic panels as you tilt the PSV. The whole experience just oozes class, it's just a shame that it couldn't have been a domestic launch title in the EU as it's clearly a flagship Vita title.

On a side note, I noticed that although the game shows up as Gravity Daze on the icon screen, trophies appear as Gravity Rush (and are in English).

It's insane that this isn't having a physical release. Looks like the best launch title. How big is the download?

Just re-watched the PV again but this time on the Vita (at Vita's native resolution).

    Looks even better :).

To download a native res copy of the PV, go to the official website and look for the yellow button in the blue box as shown below. Download the zip file, unzip the file and transfer the video to the Vita. Then, play the video and feel the jaw drop to the ground :)
