That Emma Hawkins is quite hot.

    That is all.

Quite a good show, this. Dragons' Den crossed with Antiques Roadshow. That Scouser was a twat, imagine not taking 10k.

I felt sorry for Tracey Emin's brother. Could've got 13,000 there.

Good show this, I really do enjoy it. Very entertaining.

However, I think it could do with a bit of a shuffle. Like Dragons' Den you always know the last item on will be the one that goes for the largest amount of money. Also, the fop in the scarf is a waste of time, he never makes a serious offer.

Those two lads with the Banksy wall last week I think, were offered 240,000 for it and turned it down.......twats.

Oh, and I concur with the OP

But they only paid 30 grand for it. Plus IIRC they said they only wanted like 90,000 to start an art gallery. Greedy cunts.

Caught that last chap, sums up modern art for me. Suckers!

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

I would totally use my credit card to buy that tortoise. Hollow out a space to sit and stick some wheels on it.

I'm catching up with this and on episode three. What is with these dodgy looking old men selling up and going to Thailand? Is this show now funding paedo rings?

He's had three years of pleasure with that carpet... using it to wrap up dead 8 year olds before he dumps them in the Thames.

    Hmm.

    Emma Hawkins

    and...

    Jessica whatserface from Liberty X

...are never seen in the same room together.

    Discuss.

Great program though - like Dragon's Den without all the dull bits.

"Here's some stuff I want to sell."
    Offers.
    Greedy git usually loses out.

Looking very good for 39, though obviously lightening and make up help. She's not gorgeous, but her demeanor and attitude makes here more attractive.

It's ok but I think it'll get boring very quickly. In fact I'm already a bit bored of it.

That's a very polite way of saying she looks like filth.

    Couldn't agree more though.

Love the show, especially the way it appears to drag up some of the more bizarre characters from around our isle.

Could do without the sob stories though.

When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.

The whole concept is a bit flawed in that they're selling to dealers who in turn will look to flip it at a profit.

So basically, every single one of them would probably make more money on eBay.

Hehe. I was actually saying that I think she doesn't look easy, but probably is quite intelligent... and adventurous. :)

I don't see the point in making the other dealers reveal their initial offer when someone takes the money. It's not as if they make an offer and there's no room for manoeuvre. They quite often end up in negotiations and, for example, in the first episode the posh girl went up by around 5-10k. Even though the initial offers may have been smaller the owner actually could've went away with more money depending on how negotiations went.

This is so true - all the collectable stuff, eg the Beatles poster, you'd make so much more selling direct to some mental fan.

Also, I know it's kinda the whole USP, but I don't like the 4 rooms format. It would be better if it were like Dragons Den imo. That whole "counter-offer" thing is good entertainment.

Depends on the item. If the dealer has a buyer lined up already then they might be able to get a fair amount. But it's TV anyway, so the logic doesn't have to be there.

The bit with the dice was great.

And I love seeing greedy people come away with nothing.

Anita : "So what are you hoping for?"
    Greedy git : "I'm looking for 2,000."
    Dealer : "I'll offer you 2,500."
Greedy git : "Hmm, I'm going to have to say no."

The other thing that I've noticed though, that's appallingly sexist... Every time the dealers finish looking at an item and 'retire to their room', with the three guys, you just see them walk in, or the door handle close.
But when it's the 'Emma Hawkins' shot, every single time, they start at her heels and run the camera up her legs.
