It looks fine, just about what I'd expect from an HD Zelda with TP's art style.

Twitter seems to think the screen is single touch. That's a bit rubbish if true.

No Blu-Ray, no upscaling of Wii games, single touch screen on the tablet... stop cutting corners, Nintendo.

Why would you need multi-touch on that, though? It's just a simple touch screen. It has its own buttons too, so it doesn't need to mimic the iPad.

No upscaling is severely disappointing, though.

    Single touch :'DDDD

Why would you not want multi-touch? It's infinitely better than single finger prodding and is on most touch-enabled devices in 2011. When something works really well I'm always inclined to just copy the fuck out of it.

*edit* me me me me me ahem *

That can't be right. Too many people are used to multitouch screens now, would be a big step backwards.

Looks good, but not seeing the more powerful than PS3/360 thing tbh. Although it is first gen and not complete I suppose.

No multi touch? Wasn't one of their bullet points that you could lay the controller flat on a coffee table or whatever and play games with more than one person? Looks like we're stuck to Chess and Monopoly guys!

I'm pretty certain the controller screen itself isn't HD, so of course it isn't going to upscale games.

Multi-touch would be nice, but isn't exactly necessary. It's not as if we'll be needing virtual analogue sticks, is it?

It just increases the ways in which you can interact with the device. Still, it doesn't really matter. Hell - I can draw on this thing :-)

I hope they didn't release the specs because they still aren't final and the version of the hardware that ships will be more powerful than whatever is powering these E3 demos.

Engadget have a little bit of news from IBM on the processor but not the clock speed.

Yeah, according to this article anyway...

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/jun/07/wii-u-nintendo-games-console
So here they are: the console itself will run in full HD, via HDMI, but the touchscreen isn't HD.

This. Looks bloody lovely to me, but then again, Oblivion's graphics still blow me away!

You're not really defending it are you?I mean they release this ridiculously bad looking home console that has a massive touch screen pad as the controller and it is only single touch.

Yeah, cos that's how it always works with E3 demos...

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Looks good. I'm MUCH more interested in playing a Zelda game like that, than with a Wiimote.

It says in that very video that it's comfortable.

Those people must have thought the original Xbox pad was comfortable too then. It looks an absolute state of a controller to play your average non-gimmick game on.
