Registered 8 years agoI eventually got around to playing Bioshock, Fallout, Oblivion and others, but man, Mass Effect. It doesn't help that I wasn't much a fan of Bioware even in their PC heyday and I can't stand both science fiction technogarble mumbo jumbo scenes or "I am a sentient alien species, listen to me as I tell you my story in either politically correct manner or a not-so politically correct manner" scenes.
But then I read this:
So while you'll still shape the outcome of, say, Tali's major plot arc, you'll never know the pleasure of helping Conrad Verner find true happiness.
I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I'm suspicious that its true, because it sounds exactly like Bioware Writing(TM) to have somebody find true happiness by way of a few dialogue choices and a sidequest or two.
I think I should just never play these games, but if I don't my curiosity about them will never quenched. Hmmm, first world problems... -

I've actually got the ME trilogy on 360, but have no real interest in playing for pretty much the same reasons you mentioned.

Registered 8 years agoIt's a major oversight by Nintendo in my opinion not to include DD and optical support. Especially since they want the WiiU to be an entertainment hub.
Sure, it doesn't play DVDs and BluRays, but what about streaming services like NetFlix? Don't they use DD for 5.1 sound? There's no way they'll be streaming uncompressed audio. -

That Zombi U video is funny
Only thing I don't like the look of is the laborious looking cricket bat swing. Sadly, I believe it's the only melee weapon (which I hope they change via an update!) -
