Registered 1 year agoJust found out the console does not have a digital audio output. Nintendo has never built a console that was brilliant in all aspects and now i'm sure they never will.
Thanks a lot for saying flipping the finger to all of those who have a non-ARC 5.1 amp. Fucking bastards.

Registered 7 years ago@Radamel, I was was just wondering if like the PS3 you can output the Audio to a Stereo Receiver using the multi AV out cable (the old Wii cable that came in the box), while using the HDMI directly to the TV.
Really handy if any one knows if this is possible as I'm replacing my Denon AVR with a stereo amp. -

Registered 1 year ago@neilka It does, but my amp does not have HDMI input. So, unless i'm willing to exchange a kidney for a third party adapter, i'm fucked.
Oh, and by the way, I was with an empty Wii U box at a local store last saturday and I didn't spot the Dolby Digital logo. Now I understand why.
Thanks Nintendo. My 1999 PS2 has better sound capabilities than a 2012 console. I am sooooo keeping my money. -
